I feel like this is a problem I should have encountered 4-5 months ago, but it's just cropping up now.
Now that Colin is going to bed more awake (not rocking for naps and not falling asleep on the boob at night), he is more squirmy when I put him down. Not only is he rolling from side to side (and getting caught in his blanket...which I think I jinxed myself about in another thread), and reaching through the crib like he's in jail, but he's rolling onto his tummy and getting upset. He knows how to roll off, but seems to forget and just cries.
I know when I did the sleep training part of it was to NOT replace the soother when the baby wakes up in the night. Is rolling onto one's tummy the same sort of logic? Colin woke up 2 nights ago on his tummy and I rolled him over and he went back to sleep. Tonight when I put him down he started the same thing and I keep having to roll him over. I don't want to create another bad habit.
Should I just leave him? Is it the same as replacing the soother?
