Thread: Halloween costumes?

I know it's early, but Thomas came home from school last week saying he wanted to be a fireman for Halloween! So, we started looking at costumes online. Then he liked Superman. Then he liked the train conductor! I think we'll wait until the last minute so he doesn't have time to change his mind. I still have the Brobee costume from last year that he refused to wear. He ended up being a slice of pizza.

Callie is pretty set on Little Red Riding Hood. I have made more than half of it (the dress bit), but I still need to make the cloak

Jake wants to be a fireman, too! Although he is pretty set on this. I tried showing him other options and he refuses. He said he wants to be a fireman. Oh, and he needs a red fireman jacket... not the yellow or black one you find in the stores! I found a play one at TRU and had to take it back b/c it was way too big. I ended up buying a Kidorable fireman raincoat and rainboots that look like a red firejacket/ boots. I guess he'll get to dress up even when it rains after Halloween is over

Emily knew months ago that she wanted to be a princess so that's what we got for her.

I bought Alicia a butterfly costume and DJ will be either Winnie the Pooh, Eyeore or Tigger. I didn't ask Alicia, she is still having trouble with speech, and doesn't get the concept of Halloween yet, so this year I got to choose again Next year I'm sure will be different.

Cute ideas! I love Little Red Riding Hood and princesses!! Girl costumes (and clothes in general) are so much cuter than those for boys. I have learned to appreciate boy clothes, though.

I finished the Little Red costume last night, woo hoo! Now to figure out something for our newest addition when he arrives..

Kade has decided he wants to be Mickey Mouse for Halloween and wants Bentli to be Minnie... I still need to start on the costumes!

We had all planned on being pirates...olivia is/was in love with them...but then all of a sudden she wanted to go the princess route, which I was hoping to avoid for at least one more year! And then se of course picked the one princess dress that we did not have yet (sleeping "doody" (beauty)) preston decided (as in mommy got to pick) to be animal from the muppets... dh and I thought of being quora and tron...but god knows how horrible I would look preggo in a slick body suite! Lol!

Ava wants to be a witch, not overly original, but her choice! And she wants Esther to be a bumble bee, but I am going to put her in the world's most hilarious baby Princess Leia outfit instead. It just makes me laugh far too much to be denied.
