    Default Potty Training

Is your LO potty trained? If not, where are you in the process?

J isn't fully potty trained yet...we're still working on it. He knows when to go and is fully capable of going, but his preference is to play and to not go into the bathroom. It seems to be a confidence thing with him that we're trying to overcome. We're getting close...I'm sure it will happen soon enough

No, Alicia isn't potty trained. We were working hard on it, and getting there, but then we gutted the main bathroom and that corresponded with her going through a phase where she wants to be the baby. Just recently she learned to say poo and pee and so we are now trying again, but very slowly. She will tell us sometimes, and not others and given the issues with her speech, we're not pushing it. I'm hopeful that by her third birthday she'll be good to go. She wakes up dry, so I know she can do it...now we just have to get there

Not even close! Thomas knows how to use the potty, but he will not tell me when he has to go. He also hides when he goes poo. I guess that's a good sign. He will even lock himself in the bathroom and go in his diaper. I have spring break next week, and I'll be off for the whole summer. That will give me plenty of time to really be consistent. It works well when I set the timer and he wears pull-ups. They will also work on it at school, which is awesome. he has to be potty-trained for the 3 year old class in the fall.

Kade is not even close and doesn't want anything to do with it. I am frustrated, but trying to be patient. He will sit on the potty, but won't pee... Loves having underwear on but will promptly pee in them. He will tell me "I'm going poop Mom" and I will ask if he wants to sit on the potty and he says no and runs off... Bentli is 18 months old now and is starting to get interested... If he doesn't get motivated soon, she will beat him to it!

Karly is totally pee trained! YAY! She trained about 3 months ago... even night time trained.

However.. she is not poop trained. Has a total hang up about going to the bathroom for that. So I have to walk the fine line of judging when her daily poop is going to be and trying to get a diaper on her because she has no problem with just going in her panties!!!

Heck no. Not even close. She's like Thomas, hides when she has to go, and yells at me in extreme indignation when I ask if she wants to use the potty. I'll be starting maternity leave in about 4 weeks though, so will have over a month at home with her before the baby comes, so we will really work on it then. She knows all about it, knows how it works and what is supposed to happen in it. She just has no interest in doing it herself!

Ryan is completely potty trained and has been since last august for pee and sept for poop. He got the pee down pat after day 1 or 2, but he wouldnt poop so I had to give him miralax so he would actually poop, and it took a few weeks for him to be comfortable with pooping. Now he just goes by himself in the potty, and i will hear "mommy Ryan poooooped!!" coming from the bathroom. that means hes ready for me to wipe! I am so ready for him to wipe his own little booty. Oh, hes pee trained at night too, he will actually wake up in the middle of the night to go pee if he has to. diapers have been long gone for him. 1 down 1 to go!

Nate is mostly trained. We had a very off week last week though and he was having 4+ accidents a day. But is starting to get back on track. Though he's been really sick this weekend and I put him in pull ups just so he didn't have to stress about going to the potty while he was puking everywhere and not moving much. Hopefully that hasn't screwed things up too much, but I just couldn't deal with being vomited on AND peed on!

Isn't it weird how they all learn at different paces!

Leia has been fully potty trained since Sept and accident free. For about the first 2 weeks she was also trained over night but now she still wears a nappy for bed. Her health visitor told me around the age of 3 they should be fully trained at night but 'you know' when they're ready.

Dara and Ash, do you guys have any advice/tips how to train through the night?

    xx
