Kristi, that is scary about her teacher!! I hope she didn't do anything to Leia.As for school, public school starts with kindergarten (age 5) and keeps going up a grade every year. High school is grades 9-12. I have had a few students transfer to my school from England. If they were in year 3 in England, they were in 2nd grade here. It can be very confusing, and some kids end up with the wrong placement!
Thomas also started Pre-K at the same center where he's had childcare for a while. He'll go into public school next year for kindergarten. He has learned so much already!! He's recognizing some sight words, and starting basic addition. It's pretty amazing. He also started soccer a few weeks ago, and magically started sleeping through the night at the same time. He only gets up once in the night to use the potty, but has to call for me every time. I'm not sure why, but it's better than it was before.
Off topic, but my mom just moved here from California! It's great to see her a little bit a few times a week. Thomas really loves it. Also, baby is looking good. 21 weeks already!
You're right, that's so confusing to me haha.
Pre-school is the year before they start public school full time here, so when I read about Pre-K, I'm like "What IS that?" lol. Simple minds hey!
Oooh I forgot you're pregnant, how have you been feeling?? Did you find out the sex or is it gonna be a surprise? I'm glad Thomas is doing so great too![]()

I luurrrrrve to lurk!
Hi Ladies
School is going well for Callie. She's just in preschool at the same daycare she's attended since she was 3 months old. They run a preschool program from 9-3:30, and a daycare the hours before and after. She is super smart and cheeky. I know she's kindergarten ready now, and I worry for her Kindy teacher! She's going to be a bit sassy maybe.
Little Man turned 1 on October 4. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by! I miss talking to all you ladies![]()
