Another Walker!

Evangeline started taking a step here and there last week, and now she can walk a few feet at a time! And my sig pic is huge, I'm trying to fix that....

Hey! Go, Evangeline!!!

You just keep on ruining my excuse for Addy's laziness being that she is actually a Julybug... Wink

(Your sig pic looks fine to me! Adorable! What is that mat behind her? Is it bamboo?)

Woohoo, that's awesome!

Leigh don't feel bad, Mieka is a Maybug and she's not even close to walking yet. I think she's the board's official lazybug Smile

Yes, bamboo! I bought it for a barrier between her and the flame retardants (obsessive, maybe), but it is meant to keep baby cool and stroller clean. It doesn't look the most comfortable, but she hasn't complained yet. The brand is Sittin' Smart.

Did you notice, Leigh, your favorite pacifier? LOL The only one she takes...ughhhh!

Monte was the lazy one on his bb, and he walks fine now, haha! Can't get him to stop, actually....

Yay Evangeline!

Becca just started crawling a few weeks ago, and is not pulling up. Her therapist says she won't be seriously concerned until she is not pulling up at 12 months and if she is not walking by 15 months.

Oh, I noticed, believe me! Lol

Addy is addicted to her Avents (pictured in my signature). She used to not be picky and then the other night we had a pacifier-pocalypse and discovered that she will no longer take other kinds--we even had one of those catfish mouth ones lying around tried it, but no dice! Oh, well. It's because those are the ones I kept giving her because I hated them least in the first place, so I don't really mind.

Karen--I have even heard it's normal to go up to 16 or 17 months without walking. Addy just pulled up a million times in one session while sitting in a bin of fabric the other day, but I think the conditions were optimal, and she hasn't repeated it yet in the wild.

The bamboo stroller insert is really cool! We don't have a stroller, but she's getting really heavy...will look into that if we end up getting one. I think the cooling aspect would be really smart for the desert!

Morgan is in a "high-risk clinic" program where they screen babies born early for problems. The PT there said that she doesn't get concerned about not walking until 18 months.

Yay Evangeline!!!!:yahoo: Poor mommy really has her hands full now!!!!

Yes, my Nathan was one of the latest on his board to walk at 17 months! He didn't really walk well I'd say until 17 1/2- 18 months! He's not stop today! Like they say when they go to kindergarten you would never know who walked at 9 months and who walked at 18 months!

Well done Evangeline! You'll have your mummy running around after you very soon Smile

My MIL said to me that my husband didn't walk unaided till 18 months, and I can assure you he's fine Smile We thought Ivor may be a late walker. I think I walked unaided at about 14 months according to my mum. Now we think he will probably beat us, but maybe not by that much. He walks but only holding on to our hands or his pushing wagon.

Also, for us he learnt to pull up, crawl and walk all in the same week, and not till fairly recently (about a month ago I think). So don't worry, anyone! I think the penny just drops for them so suddenly a whole set of skills can all arrive at once!
