Anyone else not walking?

Cobalt is not walking yet, so I'm wondering if any onther Junebugs are in the same boat? My girls were early walkers, so this is odd to me. They walked at 10 and 11 months. He will cruze on funiture, and walk if you hold his hands, but he wont stand up in the middle of the room. I have also noticed that his left leg swings way out when you walk him.

So anyways, a little update. My big guy turned into a little guy. After six months old he slowed way down on growing and dropped from the 90th% to 50%/40%. So right now he is 30 1/4" tall and 23lbs. He was not great about wanting to eat for a long time, but in the last month he is finally into food and eating lots. Chicken is his favorite. He is still nursing anyware from 6-12 times a day. Most of the time he is sleeping better, but still only going 4 hours for his longest strech.
He is a really sweet kid and loves his big sisters. His face really lights up when he sees them. He talks a lot and says words pretty clear. Some of his words are "mama", "dada", "papa", "dog", "gunther" (dogs name), "thank you", "bye bye", "hi", "Opal" and some more.
He is really cute and makes car nosies when he pushes his toy cars around.

And a recent picture.

And I little life update Biggrin DH finished nursing school and landed his first job interview. He started July 18th, and we are so looking forward to that first paycheck, lol.

We aren't walking here either, and like you, I'm surprised because my older 3 were all walking before they turned one.

She walks on furniture all over the place, walks holding a hand, and takes the odd step. She even stands up from sitting in the middle of the floor, but can't be persuaded to actually walk.

I'm sure our slowpokes will get their on their own schedule!

Alex isn't 100% walking all the time yet. He'll take anywhere from 3-10 steps at a time, but doesn't do it as his main way to get somewhere. He's such a fast crawler that he still crawls most of the time.

Addy is not walking. She cruises and walks holding hands--even one hand--but won't stand on her own, much less walk. I'm not worried, though--they'll all get there! She didn't even crawl until 11 months and one week, and then one day she just woke up and apparently thought "I think I'll crawl now," and off she went! Hasn't stopped for a minute since.

Thanks for the update...what a cutie! Addy was squealing and pointing at him Smile

Finn *won't* walk, is how I see it, lol! He's just too lazy. He hated crawling and refused it for quite a while, so I fully expect walking to be the same way. Ian was walking by 10 months, so he's def taking longer. He cruises all over and walks with us holding one hand, but as soon as you let him go, he plops on the floor and crawls.

Mieka isn't walking yet either. She'll stand no problem and sometimes she looks like she's thinking about walking, then she'll remember that she can crawl really fast and that's less work so off she goes crawling. She's also not talking yet beyond calling everything "dat." I'm not worried about the lack of walking, it's more annoying because she keeps wearing holes in her pants.

We just don't put him in pants! We use fitted cloth diapers without a cover mostly, so most of the time he's just in a t-shirt and dipe.

My kids started walking at the same time. Zac was 8 months and Alex was 17 months. We missed Zac's first steps because we were so focused on Alex. Alex was a lazy little guy. He could have walked earlier, but didn't want to. As soon as they both figured it out, they both started running... the opposite directions.

This is why I've stocked up on shorts and t-shirts/tank tops! Addy wore dresses almost every day until she started crawling, but then they became a BIG problem (she'd get it caught on her knees, get stuck, and freak out) so now we're in more practical wear Smile As soon as she starts walking, though, the dresses are going back on! (What, she looks so cute, and she's going to start having an opinion soon...)

Hailey isn't walking, either. She'll walk holding onto the couch, table etc, but when we try to get her to walk from me to Bruce, nope. She can crawl super fast though, which seems like a common thing with all the Junebugs lol. I'm kind of glad in a way though because being pregnant I'm not sure I could keep up with a walking toddler Lol

To be honest, the #1 reason I want her to walk is to wear dresses! They're so cute and she throws a temper tantrum whenever she wears one now and starts violently trying to rip them off. I don't blame her at all, I'd do the same thing if I got tangled everytime I tried to move.

Hailey has only taken about 4 unassisted steps at a time, so she's not really walking either. Sounds like he is focusing more on talking rather then mobilizing!

Hello Ladies, sorry I haven't been on in FOREVER! But immigration really takes it out of one, especially with 4 small kids in the mix! I do lurk all the time and just had to reply to the walking thread.

Rachel is 13 months now (26 June birthday) and also hasn't really started walking yet. She has taken about 3-4 steps each day for 4 days, but nothing yesterday or today yet.

#1 walked at 12 months, #2 at 16 months, #3 11 months so I'm not too worried, as my lazy walker is now a very active, intelligent 6 year old! Wink

Must get back onto Photobucket and post some pics of Rachel and we just bought our first Australian house too.

Well I'm happy to hear that Coby is not outside of normal. Thanks for all the replies.
