Bawling for over an hour....

Presley cried her eyes out for over an hour today and nothing in the world could console her. It was terrible and now my nerves are totally shot. I am even shaking it affected me so much. Anyone experience this? Could it be teething? I hate to blame everything on teething but what else could it have been? And what do you do when it happens? I tried the swing, talking to her, music, bathtime, bottle, pacifier, tummy time, toys, her favorite show, etc. I mean what else could I have done? Please tell me I am not the only one that has experienced this. We go to the dr for a weight check tomorrow and I will make him rule out like ear infection or anything else but what in the world.....

:bigarmhug: Yes, I had two and half months of the uncontrollable crying - we dealt with colic. I think something is bothering her. It's good you are taking her to the Dr. Did she sleep okay? Maybe a tummy ache? I hope she feels better and you too!! Smile

I was going to say ear ache or teeth - Ian was inconsolable the other night, which is totally out of the norm for him and it took forever to calm him. Finally 3 teething tabs and a lot of holding did the trick, after he refused his bottle of fruit (that has never happened before - lol). It's so hard to know at this age!

Tommy did that about a week ago. And of course it coincided with the in-laws coming over Blum 3 They were so frazzled which I think made it worse.

It could be a number of things...I think Tommy's was due to teeth, and then being hungry because it hurt him to eat...let us know what doc says!

Sammy did this the other night, due to being stuffed up from a cold. It happens, and it's rough. I hope all is better now!!!

We went through that twice last night in the middle of the night. Didn't last an hour but probably 20 minutes each. We gave him gas meds and tylenol. He is usually so happy and only cries for a bottle or if he can't settle himself to sleep but it is usually easy to soothe him. Last night nothing worked. I just sat holding him in the rocker until he finally fell asleep. I think his belly was hurting but it is so hard to tell at this age. Ears, teeth, gas, constipation, hungry? It is just trial and error and sometimes you still don't know.
