I missed something! What happened to your leg?!!
(Sorry I missed it!!)
Also, I wanted to say I understand your concern about PPD. It's good to think about it now, and try to be proactive. Like you can tell some close friends what signs to look for, and how they can support you. Start taking cod liver oil daily once you have the baby (if you can't stomach the oil itself, you can take capsules). Get lots of sun, starting now. Talk to your care provider about your concern now, so they will help you look for signs afterward. Make sure to get involved with a group of some sort as soon as you can: MOPS, or a book club, or Bible Study, or an exercise group, or something. If you have a close friend who can be counted on, ask her to not allow you to isolate yourself, and if she notices you doing so, have her promise to do something about it. If you set this kind of stuff up ahead of time, I think you will be helping to avoid PPD, or at least to get it figured out early, and to have some support!
Lawanda - I was wearing high heels and went to get Dylan from my mom's. The front door was locked and I went around back because I could hear them outside. My heel got caught in some new sod that was uneven and I fell to the ground. It hurt, but I thought it was fine. It wasn't really hurting the rest of the day, but that night started hurting and two days later, was still hurting. Doc says she doesn't think it is broken, but thinks I probably tore something. I am hoping I get them to take this cast off and do some kind of brace by the end of the week.
Thanks Katie. I was actually just talking to a friend about it this morning. She just had a baby 10 days ago too. I am sure it will be fine and I will definitely be open about it. But, I really appreciate the suggestions. I am not sure why it is such a fear. I didn't have it the first time and I don't suffer from it normally, but I guess going through that bit of depression in the beginning when I was sick both times, just freaks me out.
Oh you poor thing!! Don't wear heels no more!!! LOL I hope you arent in too much pain now!
I hope your healing well! I couldnt imagine being in a leg cast while pregnant!! That has to be so uncomfortable!!
It stinks. I called today to see if they could get me in this week so I could see about getting it off, but they can't see me until Monday! ugh
Thanks Lawanda! One of the worst parts is that I am so much more tired at the end of the day after dragging this leg around. Hopefully when they take it off, it won't be hurting and they can keep it off!
I hope so too!!!!
Bummer! Hoping it comes off soon!
