So I'm a first time mom and I just wondered how exactly it worked...
If you don't leak AT ALL, or very little before the baby is born, will you just automatically start lactating when they latch him/her on for the first time(right after birth)?
Like if you have absolutely nothing coming out, then you give birth, and you try breastfeeding, does it just "start" right then and there? Lol
Might seem like a weird question but I'm not sure what to expect. I have not had anything leak yet, and I dont know if I will till he's born. I hope I can successfully breastfeed right away, and not have to wait for my colustrum/milk to come in and give him formula in the meantime. I mean I really want to start with breastmilk/colustrum right away I feel thats really important, but can it take a day or two to actually kick in? Or ever?
