amnio tomorrow....

because my numbers shot up like they did with Ella. The doc is ordering an amnio for tomorrow and my cerclage comes out. If the amnio is showing lungs are mature we might induce. Its a very fine line with this condition.....it went up so fast in just a few days....how much more will it go up in a week? The higher the bile salt...the higher the chance of my baby getting sick or dying from it. I just want to wait as much as we can so she can come home with me. But that being said...next week will be it! Baby is coming very soon! Ill keep you posted on how the amnio goes....I have to be at the hospital at 7:15 am and he plans on me spending a good part of the day there.

Wow! I wish you and baby the best of luck. I'd want my baby to come home with me too. But even more, you don't want baby getting sick in there from all the bile acids.
I hope everything goes well and I'm a bit jealous you get to meet your baby soon Smile

no baby today. She looked good on the NST and her maturity was .001 too low. I guess they needed a reading of GREATER than .0048 and her reading was .0048. I kind of feel like we are playing with fire with how my levels are....but as long as she is doing ok...Im ok to wait a few more days get that reading up a little more and get to take her home with me right away...I do not want to go home without her! I go back to the doc office on Monday...he will take out 1 of the stitches from the cerclage (he took out 1 today but could not get the other one out!!!! Can you say NIGHTMARE?) we will repeat NST and set up induction...I think we will do it Wed night into Thurs or first thing Thurs morning IF the NST continues to look good. I am guessing this because that is the time that my doc is at the hospital doing deliveries and I think when doing inductions they tend to try to book their own patients with themselves rather than a colleague. So the amnio itself was totally a piece of cake!! Then he went to take out my stitch....that was an absolute nightmare. And like I said, it was also a FAIL as he only got half of it out! Ill kup....but next week....Im having a baby!!!! Smile

Wow! I'm so glad baby girl is looking good! Sorry about the cerclage though! Sad Hope it is easy to do on Monday!

Can't believe our second Sunbeam will be here next week!

Have you decided on a name yet? Did your older daughter get over her aversion to the one name you liked?

I still dont have a name...but Im hoping to get all the last minute stuff including a name done this weekend....another reason Im happy that I have a few more days to get ready!!! My daughter still hates Mia and she swears she will call her Rosie (Mia Rose was our name) which Im actually fine with...Im just not 100% sold on the name yet either! Oh and btw we got my oldest daughters lab results back....normal!! She is fine! Now we just got to get an all clear on my oldest son hopefully next week after some appointments and we have to safely get this baby out! Then all of this stress will be over! Smile

Have you had the steroid injections to help with the baby's lung development? I had my last 2 early and I really think that having the shot helped Smile Both of my 36 weekers are happy, healthy, thriving kids Smile Hang in there, I'm guessing the moment you see her THE name will pop into your head Smile

I never had steroids. I have to be honest, I dont think my doctor was taking me very seriously AT ALL until the last reading came back! It was elevated some...but not into dangerous territory and he really just shrugged me off...and then a few days later it was very dangerous...and continues to rise....so the danger for baby is very real and now I think I finally have his attention! A doctor I know told me he thought we were taking chances that maybe we should not be taking. I hope he is wrong. I know my doc is just trying to get it so baby can come home with us...and he is reassured by the NST....so I pray she is fine through the weekend...and through early next week! I will be 36 weeks...and hopefully baby will be just fine! Smile Still looking for a name...I just might need to see her to decide! Smile

Wow. Yeah, I am surprised that they didnt automatically give it to you when they started having concerns??? Its a 2 part injection. When I started having progressions at 33 weeks with DD the whole goal was to keep her in long enough for the shots to work. From the numbers so far it looks like she is on the right track with out them, so thats good. Maybe your doc will get you them and then deliver you??? Praying that your numbers are holding steady for now, and that you are feeling ok Smile

Reading that your doctor did take you seriously about the OC infuriates me. I don't know how an OB couldn't. It's such a tough thing to have to deal with. As Kier said, I had steroid shots for DD's lungs at 33 weeks per my MW to be safe but it's great your DD is preforming well without having had them. I'm glad your DD is doing well. As you may know, baby girls naturally thrive better then boys when born early because we develop faster.

My OB didn't do regular blood draws after I was diagnosed at 26 weeks, but they just monitored us via growth u/s's and NSTs. I kinda wish they had done the extra blood work but if she's good on an NST that's great! Hope everything goes really smoothly for you.
