Blocked duct?

So on Monday I was in the shower and found a HUGE lump in my armpit... like the size of a grape. You can see it if I put my arm up in the air. I know it wasn't there the day before. I feel like maybe it's a little bit smaller than it was, but it's starting to freak me out. I'm pretty sure it's a blocked duct... has anyone else had something like this?

I wore an underwire bra for two days before it showed up, and I read that those can cause blocked ducts in the armpits. It doesn't really hurt at all, just a little sore from being engorged so much.

Ugh yes. I had them in both breasts during my little pumping journey. Mine were sore though and in my breasts. The first one I got was way more painful than the second one. I could feel a hard lump in my breast and it constantly felt engorged. I managed that one by lots and lots and lots of deep massaging, warm compresses, hot showers and extra pump time on that one breast. The other one I got wasn't nearly as bad and I just massaged that one away. I did a lot of reading up on it and I read that one thing that can help is getting on all fours and letting your breasts dangle while feeding the baby, it helps move things down. I couldn't try that one out but I read about it several times. Anyways, you want to make sure to get rid of it as soon as possible because it can turn into mastitis.

URGH, blocked ducts are the WORST! I hope you have found some relief. I had them all the time with DD2. I never had them in my armpit though. The only thing that gave me relief was really hot compresses or shower and then immediately having dd2 nurse or pump. That would take many times and different positions for it to work most of the time. Good luck!
