Exercise starts tomorrow...

... And I can't wait! I'm someone who needs the endorphins, so I've been waiting for this day for a LONG time. All my stitches have dissolved and my spotting has been gone for a few days, so I feel good to go! Since it's 100+ degrees here for a few days, I'm going to do the 30 Day Shred DVD, but once it cools down a bit, I'll start getting back into running, and probably adding in a DVD once I get back into better shape. My first goal is 10 pounds (hoping to fit into pre-preg. winter clothes), but my long term goal is to lose 15-20 to get back to my normal 130-135lb range (I'm only 5'2").

Has anyone else started working out, and if so, how's it going??

Ooooh I'm sooooo jealous of you! I still have 3 more weeks until my PP appointment! I don't go until 8/7 and that seems so far away right now! My weight loss has stalled out at this point, so I'm totally ready to start working out! But I'm still bleeding. Sad I feel good enough to work out, but I know I'll regret it! So I'll wait until my appointment.

So yeah, jealous! Good luck!! I have 20 lbs. to lose, myself!

I'm up to a mile and a half. It makes me happy. I've also been doing a lot of stretching and easy calisthenics. Skipping all ab exercises jntil 8 weeks posrpartum.. I 'm 5"2 also and need to lose 40 lbs. I'm going to try to stay off the scale and go by pants size.

I feel physically ready to get back in the game....but I'm still bleeding.

Hopefully in the next few weeks the random spotting goes away and I can start back running/walking/swimming.

I have another 10-15 lbs to go (I refuse to weigh myself....it is too early!) Typically the weight falls off easily for me, but I want to be fit. I typically am high school skinny by about 6 months PP-- but that is from the breastfeeding, not actual exercise. Wink
But it seems to be slower going this time....boo!

I just now stopped bleeding maybe 2 days ago, so I want to start the 30-day shred. I'm also starting a yoga class aimed at toning the core - it's a hot yoga class, so should burn even more. My stitches are still lingering around though...but I feel great physically so I hope it's not an issue.

Maybe this is a dumb question but- how do you tell if your stitches are gone or not? I got one stitch and I have no idea what happened to it. I've been walking with my babies in the stroller and having sex again too- so I'm curious about the stitch now.

I can see mine, but I also had them inside/outside and all around! They are slowly falling out.

Oh dear. I haven't been brave enough to look "down there". Maybe I should. I'm so squeamish I avoid looking at my crotch for months after childbirth :/

I kept getting pieces of my stitches for about a week every time I'd pee or something. I'd see a string or knot or something on the TP or whatever. That's the only way I knew mine were dissolving!

20 lbs. Sad I was 120 lbs at 5'8 - 5'9 and am at 144lb now. But I felt I was a little on the thin side before. It is frustrating to not fit into any clothes, regular or maternity. And I dont want to buy new clothes for what is hopefully a few months. For now, Im just doing some very basic stretches and exercises. Its a little harder with a csection bc I still feel it.....but I do think even the basics are helping.

Ok, what? So I was wearing that belly binder religiously for like 3 weeks post partum... and then that ridiculous heat wave hit, and I stopped because I just couldn't take it anymore (meaning I was too hot). And I have to say, that in the 3 weeks since, I feel like I have majorly flubbed out again, though, I haven't necessarily gained weight (though I'm doing too much late night eating, and working on stopping that habit right NOW!). What did you wrap with?

So I bought a couple workout dvds the other day... Tae Bo (I used to do it in college and liked it enough) and a Jillian Michaels one. They didn't have the 30 day shred, but it's called like 3-2-1 or something. I haven't actually DONE one of them yet though. Smile We have a little less than 2 weeks left in the US, and have A LOT of plans stuffed into those two weeks, so my plan is if nothing else, to just start working out in earnest (getting into a ROUTINE with it!) when I get back to Laos... which shouldn't be too hard considering my DH will be going back to work, and we'll ALL finally be getting into some kind of routine again. Did I tell you ladies that I'm afraid the only way I'm going to be able to get regular workouts in is to get up super early to do them, before my kids wake, and DH leaves for work? Getting up at 5 or 5:30 to workout will be fun though, right??? Well, it'll be worth it, even if it's not fun.
