feet????

so not sound like i'm complaining here but woke up with the strangest thing...bruises on the back of my feet. never in my life have i had this happen and fully know feet will swell in pregnancy, which i've grown to accept and found ways to deal with this...just had to share a pic of what my feet looked like this morning.

how are everyone else's feet now-a-days???? mine swell occassionally and constantly have to take an extra pair of comfy shoes with me to work to accomodate being on my feet, other than that not too bad. have found ways to deal with the unplesantness of it all. (still kinda freaked out i got brusing on my feet and did nothing for it to happen)....strange to anyone???:confused::confused::confused:

that's really weird, actually. Swelling is common, yes, but it hasn't happened to me yet. The bruising I've never heard of. Were you wearing tight shoes yesterday or something? Were your feet propped up on the footboard of your bed (hee hee)? Anyway I'd try to figure out what bruised your feet like that and if it's shoes, don't wear them anymore. It's common for feet to grow during pregnancy, unfortunately. Or stretch or whatever you want to call it.

I've never seen bruised feet like that either, unless something specifically caused it like mentioned above (tight shoes or resting on something hard). I noticed I had minor swelling the other day, nothing a little rest didn't help with.

I have never had bruised feet either. With the first pregnany my feet didnt really swell but they grew about a half size bigger and were wider. So I guess kinda swelling kinda fat. I would be careful of what shoes you were for a while and elevate your feet when you can.

With all the traveling I've done recently, I know I was a bit swollen, but, mostly, I'm not experiencing too much swelling yet. I have also never heard of the bruising... doesn't seem like a normal pregnancy symptom to me. I'd try to figure it out, or mention it to your doctor!

i am going to assume the bruising were from my shoes but oddly enough when i worked the day before i switched shoes as soon as they started to hurt. going to order a pair of comfy clogs to let my feet breathe and call my doc in the morning...i will keep everyone updated!

Im getting weird...vein things at the bottom of my legs near my ankles. Its not bruising but I guess it looks like spider veins?? I believe its a pregnancy with older age thing Smile I am not having much swelling yet...(thank god) and swelling has never been much of an issue for me...although last pg if you looked at my hands and feet you would have said I had NO swelling....but SOMETHING was swollen because I got carpel tunnel in both of my hands so bad that I could not cut my own food and it took about 9 months for it to get better...my doctor said it usually goes away in a few months after delivery! Smile Looks like your shoes were rubbing...maybe giving your feet room in the comfy shoes let it rub up and down too much and caused that bruise rather than a blister for some reason ??

ya know thats what i thought too, my shoes may have rubbed the wrong way so yesterday i found the most relaxing loose fitting work shoes i had and even went home early (wore support hose kinda socks too) and woke up this morning with my feet throbbing, veiny as can be, swollen and red. uggh i tried soaking my feet in warm water, didn't help. also drink plenty of water so i know i'm getting my fluids....waiting on my doc to call me back. as of right now she's thinking it might be a sign of preclampsia. luckily when i had my gd test the other day i elected for some study screening they were doing at the hospital that looks a little more in depth into risk factors i may run into. i can not remember what exactly the screening study was for but opted to do it. figured an extra vile or two of blood could not hurt. when i called the doc she said she was going to rush my results and have them later this afternoon, i'm assuming as is well and will be told to take it easy, stay off my feet for long periods of time and keep plenty of fluids in me....just praying to god i can keep my feet from getting too huge and still stay productive as i can for the remainder of my time. thank goodness though my supervisor understands, at my work they supply non slick shoes and has been patient with me to find comfortable shoes. i showed her yesterday, she told me to sit down and order myself another pair of shoes and office work for me the rest of the shift. lol. i'm hoping the shoes i ordered does the trick, let's hope and pray.

(i'm hoping too this doesn't last a few months after delivery....i would really love to be on my feet after i have the baby and enjoy the nice weather while i can. lol worst case scenario i will tough it up to enjoy the weather with my baby. lol)
