I feel like a cow!!!

The beach was beautiful but I felt so uncomfortable with my thunder thighs and tatas hanging out of my maternity swimsuit.

That is all.

We live within biking distance. Not that we even own bikes. I love it here. Dh asked me yesterday if I'd give up our chance to pick our next base (Germany hopefully!!!!) for one more year here with the same crappy job I've got now. This will be the only time either of us ever gets to choose so I said no, but there is so much to do here. It is th Gulf Coast though so I need to get over the swimsuit hate. I keep dreaming about running.....

No one else feels huge?

YES!! Like a whale!!! Rolling over in bed is funny and I feel like I need a crane to get off the couch and forget bending over if I dropped something!

Lillie, I def feel big- I was looking at my own thighs when I was getting out of the shower and was like, "ah!"... but then I saw a friend this weekend, and she couldn't stop going on about how I'm carrying this baby ALL out front, and I haven't put on any weight anywhere else. So who knows. Like I've said before, I generally feel better pregnant than any other time, so, I try to not focus on feeling gross too much, because it only gets worse after the baby is born! Sad

I'm sure you looked beautiful!
I understand how you feel though. I really am dreading shorts season, and having to show my legs that are covered in a nice layer of cellulite. I have a REALLY hard time with gaining weight... I'm not one of those people who can just let it go because I'm pregnant. I have to constantly remind myself that it's what is supposed to happen for the baby or else I get really down on myself. I can't wait to start working out and running again.

I bet you looked great! We're way too hard on ourselves.

I def feel big but I like and enjoy my pregnant self. I also haven't had to try on a swimsuit, though...so that might change Wink

Oh, I'm huge. And I'm not just saying that.

I can see it in my back, my arms, my rear, my thighs. Yep. This boy is adding weight all over my body. With my girls I tended to just gain the tummy, but not so true with my boys. Sad

I'm trying to embrace it. I know it is temporary. I know it is good for baby. Doesn't mean I love this weird fat deposit I have going on in my underarm/bra strap area--lol.

I feel like a whale as well AND rolling over in bed is quite hilarious and time consuming. Lol

Girl, you want to talk about thunder thighs? Look no further than mine. That's where all my fat goes Smile I feel like the earth shakes when I walk! And my husband took Easter photos where I'm squinting into the sun, thighs belly and boobs bulging... Wow. I'm a treat Smile
It's hard for me to gain weight and hard to enjoy my huge boobs and thighs. I actually don't. But I am excited about running again once I have this baby.

Yeah, your belly picture is freaking adorable.

My thunder thighs are now making holes in my panty hose. Yep. They are rubbing together so much that I can only wear the darn things once before they fall apart from the constant pressure.

And rolling over is hilarious. I need to get a step stool or somethign because getting in and out of my slightly too high bed is also freaking hilarioius. I'm talking about America's Funniest Home Video winner here.

Audra, I didn't even think about the boy thing. My sister walked out of the hospital in her size 2 (or 4) jeans for her last pregnancy (girl) and she is fatter than I am everywhere this time (boy) already and she's not due til August. (how sad is it that that makes me happy?) Her butt makes mine look tiny in comparison, but I think I still win on the thigh fat.

I feel like a whale, too! Don't you worry!! I think I'm giant. I ran into an old spin instructor from the gym at the grocery store today, and I think her eyes nearly bulged out of her head when I said I wasn't due till June! Hahaha! I must look ENORMOUS!

That being said, I bet you were beautiful!!

I also gain all my weight in my thighs first, and then butt and arms after that. The one thing I am counting on, is my belly shrinking really fast. It did after DS1 and DS2 within a week or two. The butt and thighs stay until I work it off though Sad

Lillie-- For me it is totally a boy/girl thing. With my girls, I've lost weight in the beginning (7 lbs with each!) and then I gain, but slowly and all belly. With my boys, I've gained early and just keep on gaining....lol. And my body really does store it in different places, I swear. I didn't get back/butt fat with my girls, but sure did with my boys. So odd....but I swear it is true for me.

thanks. so far my only like holy cow moments i had was when i was at work, was making a smoothy and my stomach knocked a coffee syrup nozzle. didn't even realize i did it till everyone was like amanda slow down!!! in a way i feel blessed to not gotten many stretch marks yet. the only ones i got were on my hips, bite my tongue. other than that i felt a little po'ed when the lady from subway asked if i was having twins when i told her i wasn't due till june. made me wonder for a sec but i brushed it off....most of the time though i have felt small with just the preggo belly...pre pregnancy i started out maybe 100 lbs, now i am at 137. after i have the baby i want to just tone up and lose the belly, hope and pray i keep my curves! oddly enough obesity runs in my family bad, i lucked out. every one of my cousins and aunts on my moms side ballooned up after having kids, couldn't lose the weight and question whether i was switched at birth....lol not complaining

Huh...I wonder about the boy/girl thing... I feel like I'm gaining quite similarly to last time- not until after 20 weeks, but kind of fast after that, to still gain a full 35lbs. So it will be interesting to see if this baby is also a girl...although everyone is saying I'm carrying so differently this time. Guess we'll see!

I feel gigantic but I don't look it because I'm plus sized. I'm totally considering taking DD to the pool at the community center soon but I'm afraid to even try on my bathing suit.

I feel ginormous just in the last week or so. I don't have any full-length mirrors in my house (which I didn't even realize until I was at my parents' house over easter and they have several). Anyway, I caught a glimpse of myself in one of theirs and was a bit taken aback. I'm fairly thin normally, and am more the tall, slender type, but I looked short and dumpy in the mirror! I think its the belly--the height/width ratio is starting to get thrown off. But my butt and thighs are def. bigger, can't pull up my pre-preg pants anymore, never mind button them. But I figure my butt HAS to get bigger in order to balance out my front LOL. But, its all for a good cause. Just hope I can lose most of it after the baby is born.
