I'm in my birth month! :)

Well, here we are! 38 weeks! Anytime in the next month this baby could come!

Had a great appt with my midwife this morning- my BP was great (like 104/60 or something), urine was clear, belly is measuring 37 weeks and baby is definitely still head down (YAY!).

She asked if it would make me nervous if she went out of town over the weekend and I said not at all. I'll be too busy enjoying my husband's arrival to worry about having a baby. Smile

I see her again next Wednesday at her office- DH will finally get to meet her! Yay!

I'll take/post a belly pic later! Smile

Excellent! I'm so excited for you, Mara.

Does she have a back-up MW? Not that you are nervous at all, but what is the plan *if* you should need her?

Yay for 38 weeks!

Congratulations on making it to 38 weeks. I'm also there, and totally excited. Enjoy having your husband come and being a complete family again! Mine came home and man is it nice to have a real, live husband around Smile

I do think she has someone. But she said she would call me and let me know if she does leave- so I guess I would ask her then. She wasn't sure about her own plans, really.

No one is really giving me a hard time- but that is because everyone knows that short of a very serious medical complication, I won't be doing ANYTHING to MAKE this baby come- and everyone who knows me fully knows I believe in babies choosing their own birth days (again, assuming no medical complications). So they know better than to ask- cause there is nothing I can tell them! I've also been very casual about sharing my "due date"- mostly just always saying "early June" and now when people do say something I just say I have "a couple more weeks". Sorry people are pestering you... it's awful! I do think, "The baby will come when he's ready" is a GREAT response- or something like, "You'd have to ask the baby- it's not up to me!"

see that's what i say too, ya know...early june or whenever he decides to come but uggh i am glad the baby is healthy, i am healthy and to be honest i know what's healthy for both of us. i swear when i hear them say "you haven't popped yet", i just say seriously, it's not time yet. lol. will not be taking the mil to my next ob visit. having both dh and her there was enough to work my nerves today.
