So today was our last day in the States! Our summer is already over! We leave tomorrow morning- we have a 3 hour ride to the airport, a 16 hour flight after that, then a few hour layover, followed by a 5 hour flight, then an overnight layover, and then a final 1 hour flight to get home. Ugh.
Oh, and, we're all sick. DD and DH have it the worst. DD had strep, but has been on abx since Friday. She is still in pretty bad shape though... coughing, stuffy/runny nose, general wiped out. Twice in the last couple of days she's coughed hard enough to bring up the contents of her stomach- tonight it was all her dinner, and she got a second shower. DH is super stuffy. Zintis is coughing and dealing with some stuffiness as well. I just have the itchiness in my sinuses that usually leads to a cold. SUCKS! So, wish us luck with that! I can't really do much for the baby, but, I'm going to give DD Zyrtec for take-off and landing (Zintis gets the boob then!). Oh, and I got some prescription numbing ear drops for both of them.
So... give us a few days, and I'll be back, checking in 12 hours ahead again! Can't believe it's coming close to almost a year since we got our BFPs (seems to me like I got mine soon after arriving in Laos last year!).
Oh, and just in case you're wondering (I'm sure you're not!)- DD and I arrived here with two suitcases and two carry-ons, I believes. We are leaving as a family of 4 with 6 50lb suitcases, one 20lb suitcase, a car seat, a stroller, and 4 carry-ons. Yowza! And if you're wondering what the heck we have in 300lbs of baggage.... it includes our whole diaper stash (two sizes of prefolds, as well as a set of FLIPS and about 16 AIOs!), a bouncy seat, a co-sleeper, a high chair, the next 6 mos of clothes for Zintis, most of DD's new age appropriate toys (cause all the stuff we have in Vientiane is mostly baby stuff), plus all of our clothes, toiletries (plus extras), etc. It's amazing how quickly you can fill up so much space!
