My breastpumping prayers have been answered!! =)

So I've been back to school for a few weeks and Daniel hates formula more than ever. I scheduled a meeting with the breastfeeding counselor at the local WIC and she said I should try using their hospital-grade pump. It's fantastic! Such a huge difference. I just had to share because it's a huge relief for me. Smile

Oh that's wonderful news! I'm so happy for you!!! And your little boy too of course. I'm sure he'll be happier now.
This also makes me wonder if I should try a different pump too. I seldome have any need to pump, but when I do, very little comes out. Hm.

The woman that I spoke with said that sometimes the pump can make all the difference. The little funnel things that go on your nipples are a lot different on the WIC pump, a bit smaller like.

Yahoo!!!

Jubliee-- the best hand pump I've tried is the Avent Isis. I get great letdown from that one, and it is much cheaper than some of the others out there.....

Yay! So glad you figured it out! Smile

I always had my eye on the Isis, but I ended up going with the Lansinoh hand pump at the last minute. Great little thing! I always got at least half an ounce more with my hand pump than with my electric. Also, it was a lifesaver (since I was EPing at the time) when the power went out and I needed to pump! My electric didn't take batteries! So, it was a godsend when I had to pump with no electricity. I will say my hands were kind of sore after pumping for 30 minutes, though! Wink I say every BFing mom needs a hand pump in her arsenal!
