And it's a.........
Finn Hudson arrived 6 days past his due date on June 25th. I thought for sure I was going to make it to my induction on Thursday but I guess he had other plans.
I went to bed Sunday night around 10 with a sore back, which I thought was from lifting my 35lb two year old all day. Around midnight I woke up with contractions that were hard to sit/ stand through. I called my mom to come watch the kids as I wanted to go get checked as I needed the GBS meds. We showed up at the hospital at 1251 ( our parking pay stub says) and I was checked in and the nurses checked me out and I was 3cm. I waited 5 min for them to get the meds and hook up the IV. Then my contractions started to get very intense, almost coming pone right after another with no down time in between. I said to the nurse " my body is pushing, it's not me!" and she looked at me like I was nuts. She went to check me again and said " oh crap, the head is right there! Stop pushing I need a second glove!" ( three nurses were all scrambling for gloves at this point)this is when my water broke, actually more like exploded... once they were all ready they had me give two big pushes and the head was out. One more and he was completely out. I said to my husband " well what is it? Boy or girl?!" I think he was so shocked at how quick and frankly intense it was. Finn was born One hour and four minutes after we checked in at 1:55am.
We're doing great breast feeding. DS loves him and Dd is impartial still lol
