Nursing Pads

Um, for the rest of my nursing life, am I going to have to wear nursing pads? I feel like my boobs need a breather but when Wesley starts to cry or I "fill up", I leak. Is there any end to leaking???

I leaked EVERY.SINGLE. Day while nursing my other two. I go they boxes of nursing pads. I actually bought reusable last time but they didn't work any better and I got sick of having to remember to wash them. I like the Lansinoh ones in the purple box.

I started with Nuk and liked but then I bought Laniosh and like those, top. I leak anytime milk letdown occurs or he cries! With DD, it lasted for months.

I posted this once before a long time ago... but I heard this tip at a LLL meeting, a LOT of the women present used it without issue, and it always worked for me...

With DD I would also let down on both sides at the same time- which meant I leaked on the side DD wasn't nursing on. So what I learned to do was to apply pressure to the non-nursing side nipple until the feeling of let down passed. It worked like a charm. I never had any issues with clogged ducts or anything else (literally, I am the luckiest breast-feeder ever). It just stops the milk. And it took a little practice to learn to do it discreetly in public, but I even mastered that. Smile Good luck to you.
