Prenatal's

What kind are you taking?

I've been taking the WMT herbal brand, wondering if there is a better one to be taking. Last pregnancy, I had a prescription prenatal. My appointment isn't until Oct. 12th so I def want to be taking something until then!

I'm taking Target brand gummy prenatals plus a calcium supplement. The only thing with those is they don't have iron so if you're anemic you need it. Iron makes me sick and have headaches so I'm okay with not taking it.

ETA: The calcium supplement is because of my history with pre-e.

I had to take an extra iron pill on top of the prenatal last pregnancy; usually I am anemic...blah. Iron pills are the suck!

I'm taking the sundown ones I got at walmart for $4.00! I think I will take these after the baby is here cuz they are so easy to take and don't get stuck in my throat Smile I think i took prescription ones with my 1st but then with my 2nd I just took the over the counter ones. The dr. said it was fine. He came out perfectaly healthy but he was a little jaundiced. Do you think that was from the vitimans?

I don't think jaundice was from vitamins AT ALL. Mild jaundice is REALLY, REALLY normal in a huge amount of babies.

I'm taking Nature Made brand. The ones I took last pregnancy I bought in Australia. I forget the brand.

Im taking Prenatal One by Rainbow light they are a little big and I have a hard time swallowing them but they dont get me constipated like the walmart brand i took. I also took a prescription one with DS that had a stool softner in it but i heard they discontinued it Sad I also was anemic with DS so i had to take a seperate iron pill which made me super constipated and DS was also born with a little jaundice

GNC, here! I'm taking Stuart Prenatal at the moment because they had a great deal on them, but I'll be switching back to GNC when this bottle is up in about 2 weeks, which is what I took with DS.

I am taking One-A-Day prenatal pills and DHA pills. They don't make me sick.

I'm taking a giant bottle of ones I bought at Costco, they are Health Balance brand I guess. They had those ones or Centrum Materna ones, but the Materna ones were twice as much for half as many and they have the exact same amounts of everything in them. I'm hoping I can stick with them, I always stop taking them once the nausea sets in and then never remember to start again, so I always end up with low iron. So I'm going to try to be extra good and keep taking them the whole time so I won't need an iron supplement.

Um, good question. I am taking some horse pill that the military gave me. In addition to the pill, I also take one folic acid pill a day. Guess I should go read my prenatal bottle!

I have trouble swallowing pills. So last time I took 2 chewables, plus a tiny folic acid supplement. The clinic gave me free samples of HORSE PILLS with DHA and Omega oils etc. But I can't take those. Too big!!! I followed the guidelines of having a certain amount of fish each month to make sure I still got the fish oils. Cracker Barrel Spicy Grilled Catfish really hits the spot!!!

I like what sometimes said. Her gummy vitamins from Target sound good. No iron will prevent constipation! lol Plus I have small iron supplements that I had to take after my blood transfusion (I hemorrhaged after birth and needed one). So I can take those a few times a week, instead of having the full dose every single day. It might help me out in the bathroom department lol.

I think that's what I'll do. Plus I have a $5 gift card for Target. But for the moment I'm still taking my chewables and folic acid pill.
