still sore?

just out of curiousity....anyone else still sore? had my kiddo about 2 weeks ago and honestly still feelin it. i have my moments where i feel ok which hasn't been that much the last few days but also the same i still feel sore as can be down there. been dealing with that and the soreness from the epidural. plz tell me this is normal and someone else is feeling it too. lol

(forgot to add, yeah even with sitz bath, witch hazel pads and regular pain med-tylenol & ibuprofen hasn't phazed the pain most of the time...not even baths and ice helps, ugh!!! should i feel like this in a couple more days i think i'll be calling the ob. really don't want to though)

I stopped taking my Lortab 1 week postpartum, but only because it was constipating me. I still wanted it! I am 2wks 1 day pp now and I still have aches and pains down there, but its not that bad. It hurts the most in the morning after I've been laying in bed for a few hours. I don't feel the need to use the tucks pads or numbing spray anymore tho. It's getting better each day.

I hope you feel better soon. Sad I get the occassional ache and pain but I'm pretty well healed up. It's only the stitches that bother me, it hurts when they get stretched.

Yep...I can't sit in a hard chair yet or anywhere w/o cushion. I had pretty significant tearing in both directions so I figure it might take a little bit for the soreness to go away. I never took anything more than ibuprofen and stopped those a couple days after I gave birth mainly because I don't feel comfortable taking meds, even while nursing, unless I'm absolutely miserable.

Hang in there...

It is probably normal. My MW doesn't really want women out of bed or doing any housework for a full 2 weeks after birth. Really, you should just rest and feed your baby and eat good food-- let your body heal. In many cultures it is customary not to let a woman and her newborn out of bed for a full month or six weeks-- we just try to rush it here in the US.

Take care of yourself and let your body heal. It just accomplished an amazing feat.

no wonder i'm sore, i have been almost resuming my typical duties besides work and the heavy duty stuff around the house. gonna take a few me days, just me and the baby lounging around and see how i feel. and to think my boss wanted me to come back july 11th, hmm i told her not till the 1st week of august. i feel ok, don't get me wrong just at times it hurts like other and today the sitz bath has worked wonders.
