Sweating

Is anyone else sleeping much more hot than they were before having the baby?

I'm waking up drenched (sorry for the TMI) and our thermostat is on 75.

75 is hot to me. We keep it at 71-73. But I wake up drenched anyway... drenched in milk lol. I woke up with a big pool of it on my chest yesterday. I think I feel about the same temperature wise though.

I'm waking drenched too! And I remember this with DD2 as well and I think it continued for at least a month or two..... I'm assuming its hormones causing it.

Not yet-- but give me another week. I remember sweating lots post-baby after the others.....sure enough, it is your body getting rid of some of the extra fluids. But it is G.R.O.S.S. Between the bleeding, the milk and the sweat, I feel like I just am constantly oozing post baby.

I am sweaty at night!! I thought it was just too hot on our bedroom- but I guess there is more of an explanation! Good to know!

Here...but it is decreasing. Doc told me it is a combo of hormones fluctuating and water weight decreasing!

I have also noticed an increase in my body sparkling. Smile hoping it will be over soon. As these post baby things stop one by one I will feel like a real person again. I can already see my feet again. YAY!!!

I'm impressed you guys were able to decipher my illegible typos in the earlier post!
I just remind myself I'm sweating down a size or two!

Im pretty sure we are all practicing the art of one-handed typing!!!! Or, at least I am. I feel like I should put something like that in my work signature: "Plese excus typs - writtn with 1 hand whil holding seeping inphant. Be hapy you got a respnse." Blum 3

Terra, you make me laugh. Smile I am usually nursing/typing with one hand... but right now, Z is asleep on my chest, so I can actually use two hands. Yay! Smile

Ok, so, I have to come back to this thread and be extra gross...so I am definitely sweating at night... and I'm not really sweating that much during the day (even though it's been in the 90s and is meant to hit 100 again later this week)... BUT, I STINK! Sad I have not had stinky BO this whole pregnancy, and now, I can hardly stand to be around myself! WTH???? I'm perplexed. I don't even usually wear antiperspirant- just natural deodorant... but, I bought some hard core stuff at the store today... because I just can't stand the smell! Sad

Mara-- I stink, too. What's up with that? Yesterday, I literally thought it was the friends I was with, until they left.....and it was ME. And I had literally showered hours before being with them. So odd. And so gross!

Add me to the sweaty-stink club. I sweat all day long and stink...and it's gross! I bought new deo today to try. It doesn't help that the temps reached triple digits today.

I'm extra greasy ! Talk about nasty! I have to wash my hair daily and scour my body. It's all these night sweats. I'm sure I stink, but I keep asking my husband and he keeps saying no, I smell fine. I hope he'd tell me if I did *shrug*
But!!! On to good news, Lily Rose is 2 weeks old and passed her checkup with flying colors. I knew she would.
The doc who saw us was thrilled I'm breastfeeding and thrilled with her "perfect round head". Makes me think he sees families who don't hold their babies enough and never breastfeed? Who knows. But he seemed amazed I was nursing in his office. Well, sir, if my daughter is hungry, I'm feeding her Smile
