Weight stall?

I had an update appointment today and I'm at a 10 pound weight gain. I started out at 122, so fairly light - and with DD at this point I had already gained 17 pounds. I eat as healthy as possible and I'm measuring a week ahead at 28 weeks.

Is there a concern in NOT gaining as long as I measure on track? I keep expecting a big jump but it's just not happening yet. I remember in the 3rd trimester with her, the weight gain pretty much halted and I had a total gain of 23 pounds by the end.

So long as you are eating well and baby is growing you are just fine. Smile I wouldn't fret about it.....

You also might just have a different gain pattern-- where you might gain more in the third than you did with dd.

Did you "keep" any of the weight you gained with dd? If so, then that could explain the smaller gain, too.

I never feel like eating when I'm sick, so I'm sure that is contributing to your slow(er) gain this time, too.

If your measuring fine...certainly dont worry about not gaining enough!! The doc will let you know if you need to try harder to put on weight...but Im pretty sure as long as your baby is measuring fine...its not something to worry about!

i worry about this too...only weighing in @ 131 & being 27 weeks does not seem the typical preggo weight but my doc says im measuring where i need to be and the baby is too. growing to accept i will not be huge and relieved a little that i'll be at a normal weight for once in my life after i deliver. so after i pop i dont really wanna lose i really just wanna tone up! loving what this pregnancy has done for my body tremendously!

I have stalled too. For about 4-5 weeks I haven't gained anything. Before that I was at a 10 pound gain as well. I started out at 136. I just keep eating healthy and as much as I can and I guess I will gain the weight I need. Baby also measures on track every time.

I just got back from the MW-- you can have some of mine. Smile I'm gaining plenty for the both of us......and it seems to be landing in my cheeks!

Oh well. I really don't worry about weight.....but am surprised at how much I'm gaining this time. I'm blaming in on carrying a boy and being older....lol.

Ditto Audra! I am up 25lbs already. Sheesh. I figure baby has to gain at least another 4-5lbs, so I will hit 30 for sure and most likely MORE. Eek! But, I try not to worry about it too much...and I tend to slow way down in the 3rd trimester, so hopefully it won't get too much more out of control!

Well I've seen your pictures and I think you look great - I can't tell where any weight gain is going my friend!! Honestly though, I'd rather be on the higher side of a gain then worrying about gaining too little. I feel better that I'm measuring a week ahead so obviously this guy is growing fine! I just can't eat very much at a time and my appetite has slowed down.
