Workout ideas?

So... what ideas do you have for workouts for someone who sort of hates working out (I didn't used to, but it feels like such a chore now)...and who probably needs to do a workout at home- IN the house- with the toddler either watching/doing it along/playing nearby, and the baby hopefully being happy nearby.

When we get back to Laos it'll be the rainy season, so walking outside isn't really an option- so I really need in the house ideas.

Does anyone have the Zumba for the Wii? I know so many people love Zumba...and I've never done a real class, but I sort of wonder if I would like the workout with the Wii.

Does anyone have any other workout videos that they would recommend for someone who hates using work out videos? Ultimately, I would love to be able to go the gym- but we can't afford a membership, or a babysitter, and because of the hours DH works, leaving the kids with him would mean me going to the gym after their bedtime, which frankly is just not going to work. So as I said... workouts at home. Anyone?

I liked the 30 Day shred on Wii. I tried Zumba and I'm just not coordinated enough to get a good exercise. I need to start walking...I'm a few pounds below pre-preg weight but have jelly belly.

I love Zumba! It takes a little while to get the hang of it but after that it's so much fun. In my baby book it said that rather than doing crunches and not-so-fun exercises, to do stretches and tone your muscles. Mostly side stretches and lunges.

I have Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and also her killer buns and thighs DVD's. I love them. For outside, I do the couch to 5K program. Still waiting on the bleeding to stop so I can start those!

Well I went to the store to try on pants today and I am not happy!! I think my butt is hanging onto my last 15 pounds. I got out the stroller and started doing laps and I nabbed Nick's "Insanity" DVD's. I expected to keep a little bit of weight but no way in heck am I going from a size 3 to a size 11. It's definately time for a workout routine.

Oh bah to you "under pre-preg weight" people! Smile I'm still 20 lbs. over my pre-preg weight! GAH! It's awful. It's still sloooowly coming off, and I know some of it is still water weight considering my ankles are still a little puffy, but still! So unfair, you guys. Wink

Anyhow, I second (third?) the Jillian Michaels DVDs! I have the 30 Day Shred that I did after DS1, plus I got back into running. I was actually just looking at other DVD's today, but can't decide if I want a new one. I may just stick with what I have and get back into running again. Mara, I know that doesn't help you because it's outside of the house, but I'd definitely get a Jillian Michaels DVD if I were you! I get bored super easily with workout routines, and her DVD changes around a lot enough to keep me interested!

I have Zumba for Xbox...never openend it - lol! My 6-wk checkup is Wed so waiting to be cleared by doc before I resume any exercise. My last pregnancy I didn't wait and I paid for it.
