What size clothes is your Sunbeam wearing?

Do you have a fave diaper brand? What size does your Sunbeam wear?
huggies 135 count....snug brand- in a size 1 now. they work well and last paycheck to paycheck

How's the whole eating and sleeping thing going?
we are finally getting a routine, he is sleeping more now. less cranky. more mellow lately. only downfall is me and dh figuring out a good sleep patern with both of us adjusting to working full time as well as trying to juggle everything else we need to take care of. (once we get our sleep sched down, we will be good)

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now?
dh is doing AWESOME. i was so proud of him for reading on baby developmental stages. did it on his own, told me about it, i was so happy

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting?
uggh was a rough week. but i've come to terms next month i will be working one specific shift. i've been trying to juggle working 3 different shifts. just not possible

At home moms- are you finding a routine??
on my days off me and dh have a set routine for jayden. he respects my routines for jayden as well as i do his too.

Any concerns about your Sunbeam?
to be honest. nah.

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now?
we're adjusted.

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting?
-I hate being here.

I feel so much better typing that out. Dh is sick of hearing about it and thinks I'm overreacting and shouldn't care what they are doing, but I hoenstly can't concentrate on the projects I'm supposed to be working on because of their constant yapping.

At home moms- are you finding a routine??

Any concerns about your Sunbeam? Just the heart murmer. I wish it had gone away.

Now give us a brag about your Sunbeam- and maybe a picture too! He's acting liek he's going to crawl. I know he's not, but it's so cute to see him wiggle. I love his coos and laughter. Not much to brag about except he's still a happy baby.

Sunbeam/age: Zintis, 9 weeks

Latest stats (length/weight)? Last height measurement was 25in (at 7 weeks), and last weight was 13lbs

What size clothes is your Sunbeam wearing? In Carter's (my fave) he's in 3 mos and some 6 mos. Other brands 3-6mos.

Do you have a fave diaper brand? What size does your Sunbeam wear? We do cloth, and right now he's in our Bummis infant sized prefolds and Thirsties size small (before they went to the duo) covers. The sposies we have now are Target brand (which I find are just as good as any premium brand for a much better price!) and he's wearing size 2.

How's the whole eating and sleeping thing going? He still feeds on demand, and is very clear about when he's hungry and when he's not. He will not comfort nurse. He sleeps a lot- starting to get some longer blocks during the day. At night he does great stretches.

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now? Beni is nice to him, but, toward me she's still having a lot of trouble. She's really acting out lately (not sure if that is just being 2 or her way of dealing with the new baby). We're all still adjusting. DH seems to be having a bit of a hard time too realizing that we get very little down time now with two kids. And honestly, *I'm* still having quite a hard time finding balance in taking care of both of them. Yeah, so, we're all still adjusting.... slowly.

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting?

At home moms- are you finding a routine?? Haven't had a chance yet! We haven't been back in Laos a week yet, bu things are different now because my in-laws are visiting. The only thing I have started is working out. As much as I hate working out at home, inside, by myself, I'm doing workout dvds 4 mornings a week (well, I've done 3 so far). That at least is going well. Smile

Any concerns about your Sunbeam? He's pooping super dark green. I'm trying to do super block feeding and thinking about eliminating dairy to see which thing might solve it. I already DO block feeding, so I don't know how much MORE I could do it... but, he poops green. He's growing well, and doesn't seem too terribly fussed in any other way, so I think he's mostly good, but, I would like his poops to get back to normal.

Now give us a brag about your Sunbeam- and maybe a picture too! He can roll from his back to his side quite easily- I don't think he's far from rolling all the way over. He's a super smiley boy too- when we're out and about if someone smiles at him, he beams back at them, so he's always super popular because of that. Smile You know, cause every person reckons they are the only one he does that to. Smile

Sunbeam/age: Henry/ 8 weeks 4 days

Latest stats (length/weight)? 15 pounds

What size clothes is your Sunbeam wearing? some 3 months, but mostly 3-6 and 6 month size

Do you have a fave diaper brand? What size does your Sunbeam wear? I'm wishing we were doing cloth, but we're not, so he's in Huggies size 3.

How's the whole eating and sleeping thing going? He eats all the time. He's been sleeping a little better. Two nights this week I got a 4 hour stretch.

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now? My oldest is still acting out, but everyone loves Henry. He just acts out at me or DH. We recently sent him to my parents overnight so he could have some alone time, and so we could get a break from his behavior.

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting? I'm preparing to go back to school in two weeks. I'm a crazy person.

At home moms- are you finding a routine?? NO. I'm still a crazy person while I'm home. Not sure I'll ever return to normal!

Any concerns about your Sunbeam? He's doing really well. Still a little colicky, but it's getting better.

Now give us a brag about your Sunbeam- and maybe a picture too! All I can brag about is that he's HUGE and all he's had is my breastmilk, so I'm proud of that.

Sunbeam/age: 8 weeks

Latest stats (length/weight)? Last weight was 11lbs 12oz, but that was a over a week ago. He's been gaining 1oz/day

What size clothes is your Sunbeam wearing? 3 months

Do you have a fave diaper brand? What size does your Sunbeam wear? Thirsties Duo size 1 and GroVia covers. Size 2 in pampers at night

How's the whole eating and sleeping thing going? Wonderful! He nurses on demand during the day, and only wakes up once night!

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now? He fits in perfectly Smile The kids adore him.

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting? I'm enjoying my mat leave.

At home moms- are you finding a routine?? We're mostly just laying low this summer. Things are going to get hectic once school starts.

Any concerns about your Sunbeam? None at all.

Sunbeam/age: Lily Rose, two months old this Sunday, August 12.

Latest stats (length/weight)? I don't know about length but she's over 12 pounds. As you can tell I haven't had her 2 month checkup yet.

What size clothes is your Sunbeam wearing? 3 months and higher! She's a chunker!

Do you have a fave diaper brand? What size does your Sunbeam wear? Lily wears Huggies size 1. Huggies are my favorite.

How's the whole eating and sleeping thing going? Good! She's settling herself into a good eating schedule.

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now? Pretty good. Honestly it's gone better than I anticipated, adding another baby to our family. I still wish my husband seemed more interested in it all, but I can't complain. We're all pretty happy.

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting?

At home moms- are you finding a routine?? Some days we have a great routine. Some days, I feel like I'm dashing from nap to nap, just trying to get us all fed and dressed. Some days are easier than others (like when both girls nap at once)
Mara I'm totally with you- my 2.5 year old is always acting out, and my husband is always wanting to spend tons of time with me, right after both girls go to sleep for the night. Of COURSE I want to spend time with my husband and I miss our quality time too, but come on! When the girls are asleep guess what I want to do? Sleep! It won't be like this much longer- Lily already is growing so fast- but I feel guilty. My daughter Penny is always testing her limits with me. Like, poking and pulling my hair and kicking me repeatedly to see how long it will take for me to, what? Snap? Yell at her? what does she want me to do when she's needling me over and over? *vent session over*

Any concerns about your Sunbeam? No!

Now give us a brag about your Sunbeam- and maybe a picture too! Lily Rose is the cutest baby in the world! (giggle) you asked me to brag!
Here's a new photo of her sleeping in daddy's arms...

Sunbeam/age: 9 weeks today

Latest stats (length/weight)? We'll find out tomorrow, he was near 11 pounds at his 1 month check-up!

What size clothes is your Sunbeam wearing? 0-3 and some 3-6 depending on brand

Do you have a fave diaper brand? What size does your Sunbeam wear? We cloth diaper and use a mix of brands, right now I'm pretty smitten with Sunbaby and Babyland Velcro. I have Coolababies, Kawaii's, Glowbugs, and Bubbubi on the way Smile

How's the whole eating and sleeping thing going? Getting better finally. He nurses every 2-3 hours. We're finally getting a good 4 hour stretch at night for the first go and then every 3 hours after that.

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now? We're settling in, finally. DD is much more loving towards him and is starting to act a little better although the tantrums are still hanging around. DH is doing fine, he's not much of a baby guy. I've left Abram with him a couple times to get out of the house for an hour and he does good, of course Abram mainly just sleeps for him so it's pretty easy!

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting? I work from home, it's hard finding the balance in meeting his needs and getting all my work out but I'm managing. I actually miss being around other people in an office setting, so in September I plan on going back to the office for a few hours a week. So I'll really get the best of both worlds, I'll get to be with him for the majority of the week but still be at the office and get some adult interaction!

Any concerns about your Sunbeam? Just the spitting up factor, he tends to overeat (or at least that's what the Pedi thinks) and he spits up a large volume of breastmilk after each session. It doesn't seem to bother him other than the fact that he usually chokes on it and scares the crud out of us.

Now give us a brag about your Sunbeam- and maybe a picture too! He's a sweet little thing and loves to cuddle, I pretty much hold him all day which makes him happy but makes things a little hard on me. It's OK though, I know soon enough he'll be moving around on his own and not so dependent on me so I'm enjoying it while it lasts!

Sunbeam/age: Samuel, 6 weeks & 4 days

Latest stats (length/weight)? At 1 month he was 10.7 lbs. and 22"

What size clothes is your Sunbeam wearing? Mostly 0-3 month.

Do you have a fave diaper brand? What size does your Sunbeam wear? He's in size 1 Target brand at night right now, but we CD during the day. He's in infant prefolds and size 1 Thirsties duos. He outgrew his bumgenius newborn diapers, but can still squeeze into some newborn diapers in other brands!

How's the whole eating and sleeping thing going? Very well! He's giving us a stretch from about 8-4ish at night, so we really can't complain. Eating is going well, too! I couldn't get my supply up anymore (not even with a prescription!), so I quit pumping officially as of last Wednesday. We're just about through my freezer stash, so we'll be moving solely to formula in the next few days.

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now?
I think we're getting the hang of it. Wink Now that I'm not attached to my pump 7-8x a day, we have a bit more freedom to get out of the house and do things! That is key with a toddler at home! Wink

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting?

At home moms- are you finding a routine?? Yes! Slowly finding a routine. The mornings are still sometimes up in the air, but we're getting there!

Any concerns about your Sunbeam? Nothing! We had a follow-up u/s on his ureters (tube from kidney to bladder - remember they were dilated when I was pregnant?) two weeks ago, and they came back fine! His right one is completely normal and the left is just mildly dilated, so they're not concerned with it at all. They told me typically if one ureter kicks into gear, the other will follow suit. We have another u/s in about 5 weeks to make sure that has happened.

Now give us a brag about your Sunbeam- and maybe a picture too! He is soooo smiley! And he talks all.the.time!! I love it. DS1 was such a serious dude when it came to cracking smiles, it's so nice to have a smiley, cooing baby this time around! He's also super strong! He's been holding his head up pretty well from the start. I think he's close to having pretty much full control soon!

Sunbeam/age: Lucas, 3 months 2 weeks and 2 days, hehe. Adjusted age is 2 months 1 day.

Latest stats (length/weight)? 10.7 and 22 inches at his 3 month check-up on the 27th.

What size clothes is your Sunbeam wearing? Still some NB, some 0-3 and some 3 month.

Do you have a fave diaper brand? What size does your Sunbeam wear? No preference.. size 1's.

How's the whole eating and sleeping thing going? Pretty well. He eats a lot because he's on Similac Sensitive now and it's more broken down but he is doing better on this. Sleeping is fantastic... started this last Thursday sleeping through the night (10 hours or so) and it has been amazing. So glad.

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now? We're doing pretty good... Savannah still loves her baby brother and dotes on him. DH has been working a ton all summer but it's starting to slow down now so we can get in the routine of him being home before 7 PM... except he starts school next week so there's that.

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting?

At home moms- are you finding a routine?? Yeah we're good. I'm trying to get DD out a lot more on play dates and play groups... get her to interact with other kids more.

Any concerns about your Sunbeam? I do worry that he doesn't poop very much.

Now give us a brag about your Sunbeam- and maybe a picture too! He finally is starting to bat at his toys now... I was getting worried because he was close fisted all the time but he's loosening up.

Sunbeam/age:
Daniel, 2mos/3days

Latest stats (length/weight)?
11lb 14oz

What size clothes is your Sunbeam wearing?
3-6 Months

Do you have a fave diaper brand? What size does your Sunbeam wear?
Huggies Little Snugglers Size 1 because they're so soft. Smile all of the other diapers rub his little legs and leave red marks.

How's the whole eating and sleeping thing going?
He eats like a champ, he's a chugger. No schedule, just on demand. He knows when it's bedtime and when it's time to get up. He eats about 3 times a night and hates sleeping in his own bed.

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now?
We've made a routine out of it. Everyone loves him to pieces.

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting?
I quit my job. I went back for one day and was panicking the whole day.

At home moms- are you finding a routine??
It's rough, I've had a job since I was 15. It's hard to sit with the baby most of the day.

Any concerns about your Sunbeam?
He poops every 7 days. Doctor said it's fine because it's liquid and not hard, they're just really biggg poops.

Now give us a brag about your Sunbeam- and maybe a picture too! He talks to me every morning and he's so strong! He can't pick it up yet but he can hold his head up for like 5 min straight and he packs a whallop when he starts flinging his arms and legs around.

Sunbeam/age: Seth, 8 weeks 2 days

Latest stats (length/weight)? at 7 weeks, he was just shy of 13 lbs and was 22 inches long.....with a 16 inch head!

What size clothes is your Sunbeam wearing? 0-3 mos.

Do you have a fave diaper brand? What size does your Sunbeam wear? Still working through our Pampers, then we'll switch to cloth. Size 1, but they barely fit right now....getting snug!

How's the whole eating and sleeping thing going? Well. We co-sleep. He typically wakes 2 x/night, but gives me a good 5-6 hour stretch at first, then wakes more frequently.

How is the family (you, your spouse, other kids) doing with the whole new baby thing now? Good. Our big kids go back to school next week, and I fear the kids will miss him terribly. Lexi has her moments, but I think that has more to do with being 3 than Seth.

Working moms- how is everyone adjusting? Today is my 2nd day back. Would love to be a SAHP-- but Trey is.....

At home moms- are you finding a routine??

Any concerns about your Sunbeam? None. He is so happy and easy going.

Now give us a brag about your Sunbeam- and maybe a picture too! Seth is a charmer and such a happy baby.

He still always sleeps with his hand by his head.....and has some super thighs!

Ammoss- sorry can't remember your name-
I just wanted to encourage you. I too was weirded out when I quit my job to move to a new state with my husband and stay home with my first baby. I loved my baby but was lonely and unsettled in my new role. I was awesome at being a working woman, but had no idea how to be a good mom. I learned that I already was a good mom, and the new role in my life was beautiful and special, even if it was slow and lonely at times.
All that to say, hang in there, be confident, and look for new ways to enjoy life as a non- working mother.
I'm just trying to let you know I was in your shoes 2.5 years ago and it gets easier and less lonely! Promise.
