Default 2nd Sizing Ultrasound this morning - Updated

All seemed to go well. Baby girl is now head down! She is facing angled toward the right side and back, which makes sense because I have been having pain in my butt bone instead of front pelvic bone like the last few weeks. She's pretty long already, stretching from about 4 inches under my boobies to low pelvis (I'm 5'9").

    Heartbeat was 154

They couldn't tell me really anything much else. The tech was suprised to see me though and said that usually they don't order a second sizing ultrasound unless the baby was in the 90th + percentile in size (Saylor was 81st percentile at 29 weeks). She also said that the doubled over position she was in last time could have been a major cause in why I was 'measuiring' so big.

It was nice to have a tech talk to me.

    Appointment in 2 weeks.

    UPDATE
Nurse just called and they want me back in 3 weeks to do another growth ultrasound. Appartently this baby is big. They didn't give me any specific measurements though.

I'm starting to get worried they are going to push me into a scheduled c-section if she gets too big.

Glad all is well, and nice to have another peek at baby! What percentage were you measuring this time?

They won't tell me until the tech gives the results to her boss who will then transcribe them for my OB. It seems so silly, but I guess I understand. I do wish they would tell you more then & there.

No new will be good news if I don't here anything in a week. After that, I guess I'll find out 100% on mynext appointment in two weeks

I hate having to wait to find out.

That was the nice thing about my fetal echo - instead of an U/S tech, I had a pediatric cardiologist do the scan, so he could give me results right away!

Same about my other early ultrasounds. They were are with the high-risk doctor (because I'm 35 when I give birth which makes me chuckle that is the reason I was sent to high risk). The tech was a nurse and the doctor came in to look and talked about everything the whole time. It was so nice to know then and there.

Well it sounds like it should have gone well. I hope the call from your doc (after reading the chat thread) is nothing more then confirming that things overall look good!

Sorry they are stressing you out on her size. How big was your DS?
