She let out a really loud "AWWWW" but in the disappointed sense of Aww. She was hoping we'd have one of each. she's happy. but her initial reaction told us she was definitely hoping for a girl!

Yay for your little boy!! Sorry your mom reacted poorly. I wouldn't be surprised if my mom had done the same which is why I sent them a text picture of my kids with blue balloons instead

Both my MIL and mom are hoping for a girl too. I truly wouldn't mind either way. A little girl would be lovely, but a brother for my son would be so special.
