My appt today was good. I asked about the cervix pain I had last week and she said that often baby is just on a nerve and isn't really even kicking you there. So ya, good times.
My weight is creeping up but I am measuring a little smaller than with DD. I was measuring 24.5w at 23w with DD and today I am measuring 23w at 24w. LOL. Backwards!
I talked to the midwife about my extreme emotions this last week and she had me do the depression quiz. I scored 15 on the quiz which apparently that means I could/should go to counseling and/or the doctor for depression meds. We're just going to watch it for now and see. I'm hoping the hormones ease up a bit soon. It just started last Saturday so maybe it will leave as quickly. We'll be on vacation in two weeks so I'm hoping that might help too. The midwife also suggested that DH help out more. That's win win, right?
We talked about the gestational diabetes test and I'm still on the fence as to whether to do it or not. I didn't have it with DD and the only health indicator I have is my age (over 25). I was glad to hear they still have the 1 hour test here, as I thought we only had the 2 hour now. Anyways, I have to decide in 4 weeks. The midwive didn't really push for me to take it. I have some thinking to do. Hummm...
If only I were sleeping better. I'm awake every day around 5 something. I normally stay in bed to try to sleep but today I was too hungry so I'm up. I think that's part of the problem too. I don't do well on little sleep.
Glad things are looking good with baby. Sorry your emotions are off the charts right now; hopefully they'll mellow out soon!! No advice as far as the GD test, I always do it but was borderline with my first and a lot of women in my mother's family get it so I figure I ought to. Hope you get some sleep *hugs*
Between pregnancy and lack of sleep - you're definitely more prone to moodiness. If DH can help a bit more, and you can get in some naps that'd be great. I would stay far away from depression meds - I think that's overkill - and I don't consider them safe, especially during pregnancy. Anyhow, I'm opting out of the GD test, so you have company if you decide to do that. Just eat some more veggies even if you don't "want" them!! You can also help your mood by increasing fruits and veggies!
Sorry you're having a rough time with hormones and how you're feeling. I hope it gets better for you soon.
I have cervix twinges and even had a couple if periods of achiness too. That happened twice, both in the evening when I was tired. It's always concerning to me b/c how do know if it's normal or not. The joys of pregnancy...
