    Default Appt update

Just got back from my appt (36wks 6 days) weight was the same bp was good. Ethan actually cooperated for both the bpp and nst which has never happened so that was great!! I was having contractions every 7 mins and had the NP and staff a little worried but I told them that I never dialate on my own and it wasn't a big deal. They wouldn't let me leave until the dr checked me and of course she said I'm seal up nice and tight lol. She said that even though I am released off bed rest not to go running a marathon as with having the GD and him being a boy that they tend to develop their lungs slower. Mind you my GD is very well controled and DS was born at 37 wks 2 days and no problems breathing. Either way I am not going to push it as I'm to tired lol. So basically I am just waiting to go into labor and for them to observe me and see if he has decels like my other 2 did or just waiting until the 25th. She seems to think that she will see me later this week but I am doubting it is tonight or tomorrow as my contractions have slowed down to every 10 mins now.

On a side note DS is really starting to try to walk. Only taking a couple steps here and there today but he is finally acting like he wants to vs just wanting to crawl every where . He is 13 months today

YAY for a good appt and for almost being off bed rest. Any mama who survives bed rest is a star in my mind!!!!

That's great that DS is trying to walk. Once they get it, they're OFF! It will be nice to not have two that need you to carry them everywhere!

Laurie I'm in love with your sig pic! How far apart are they and how many comments do you get? I'm so sick of the "how are you going to handle two little ones" conversations...

Glad your appointment went well. Youre getting close to the end!

My oldest started walking at 13 months. Yay for progress, I agree with Heather...good to have him moving a bit more before the new little one arrives.

AFA having then close together, I think it's great. After DS2 I honestly wouldn't have been upset with a surprise at 4 months PP. I knew I wanted 3 so might as well get one with it. Sorry you are getting negative comments.

These 2 are actually 20 months apart. My closest gap is between my second and third - they are 16 months apart. I have found it has a lot less to do with age gap, and a lot more to do with the personality of the children and the temperament of the parents as to "how things go." I'm sure you'll do just fine. Having them closer together has never been any harder then farther apart for me (okay, admittedly my biggest gap is only 28 months, lol). I'm probably not the best at gauging transitions now either because I have all kinds of help from my older children now, that I didn't have when I only had 2 or 3 little ones. I tell you, transitioning to number 6 was so easy this time, I feel like popping out the baby was just some routine event, and I was right back to reading stories, cooking dinner, and cleaning the house a couple hours later. Life just goes on at this point.

LOL, Thanks Heather!! Oh, and postpartum hormones still get the better of me... my poor kids got to see mommy lose it last night (just a little screaming on my part - hangs head in shame) when I needed them to pick up their toys.

Glad to hear you had good news!

I only have three but, I totally agree that it is a mixture of things that makes transitioning easier or harder. Age differences, baby temperament, parent temperament, etc. My first two are 20 months apart, and my last two are 4.5 years apart. There are a lot of things different this time around!
