Have you covered your mattress with anything in case your water breaks in bed?
Nope. Never have. LOL. Funny thing is the only time my water broke to begin labour, it DID break while I was in bed, but it didn't GUSH or anything until I stood up beside the bed.
My water broke on the toilet last time so I never really thought about it... Of course, I was actually fully clothed sitting in the toilet with the lid down watching Tori in the tub so I should at least know it can get messy!!!
Ya, I mean they say only 10% of times does the water break before labour, but we do spend a lot of time in bed. EVERY time I get up in the night (like 4 times) I think about it. LOL
I didn't this time around, but I did think about it! I did with my other two though.
What did you put under you?
In the past I actually put a trash bag in between the sheets and the mattress pad. Not very high tech, but waterproof!
You could just put a large towel, like a swim towel, under the sheet. It really shouldn't be bad until you stand up so if anything it'll just dribble a little.
I'm wearing a panty liner too, but I thought about wearing something more serious at night instead. That might be overkill.
I did, but we always have a protector in the mattress anyhow because dh sweats, I spill things, etc. I'd hate go ruin a mattress by not using one. Also, DS sleeps with us a lot and he has this habit of removing his pull-up at night
We did last time... we just put a waterproof mattress cover. we havent done it yet though it is sitting RIGHT next to the bed...... DH doesnt think it's necessary... whereas I see the 300$ memory foam mattress topper underneath the sheets and totally think it is!
I never did, tho it was my couch both times...
I taped a trash bag to the mattress under the sheet, and then put a towel on top of the sheet cause I don't like the way the trash bag feels when I'm sleeping on it lol
I slept on my a towel with my first pregnancy. Nothing with this or my last though.
I hate sleeping on plastic and stuff so I put a little mat thingy under the mattress pad. Hopefully that helps to catch some of it.
