The max typically for zofran is 8mg every 8 hours. There is also compazine and a few others, but they can make you veeeery tired. Carbs help me. Bagels and cream cheese. I carb load like crazy, it's the only thing other than zofran that helps me. Salty stuff too, like pretzels or chips. Maybe not the healthiest... I'm lucky in that I'm thin and have crazy low blood pressure so I don't have to worry about salt intake or eating so many bagels and pasta!

I'm eating my lemon with salt right now. This evening has been some better and I've only thrown up (knocking on wood) once today. Chasing 8 kids while this exhausted and sick is less than fun, but I'm managing somehow and I think everyone had fun today ... Well I pretended like I had fun today, lol.

EIGHT kids? I couldn't do that on a good day...pregnant or not!
I've had a pretty good day today too. I've eaten a somewhat normal diet...even had a vegetable or two. yay!
-
Ha!! Well, it's how I stay home with my kids - watch everyone else's too, lol. I don't think I would call my diet today normal, but I've managed to keep down most of what I ate, so I'm calling it a success!
-
Mine wasn't totally normal either...but I had some meat and veggies...not just carbs. LOL. I also made actual food and didn't just eat processed garbage.

:lurk:
Lauren, I get hyperemesis and last pregnancy was vomiting even on 8mg of zofran every 8 hours. I could feel it wear off after 5-6 hours so when I talked with my MW she agreed to let me take it every 6 hours. I really made the difference But, that was after we were pretty sure it wasn't viable, and I'm not sure if that affected her willingness to let me take more. It can't hurt to ask, though!

Thanks Pico! Yeah, it's at about 5-6 hours that it gets bad again. I'm going to try to hold off until my appointment on the 12th, but I'll ask then.
