sorry double post
We are all feeling better around here :) Thank goodness.
Yesterday we had pizza for supper with my family and then my mom, sisters and I did our toenails while we watched a movie. My mom, stepdad, and youngest sister are headed to Jamaica in less than a week, so they needed Jamaica toes :)
Today is supposed to be decent weather (mild enough to take the kids tobogganing, as opposed to -35 like it has been so far this week), so we'll go tobogganing this afternoon, have hot chocolate, and head back here. Then my mom and stepdad will watch my kids while DH, my sisters and I head out to a movie. Can't decide between Les Mis or The Hobbit!
We need a major toy purge around here too! Way too many.
Kia: what stroller are you looking at? I went through two different double strollers when DS was born but ended up reselling both (I'd bought used and ended up making money on both). Designated toy rooms are awesome! We have a bonus room that is our playroom and *most* of the mess stays up there.
Patience: gee thanks brother! At least you'll have a sweet baby for an accessory ;)
Sandra: sounds like a fun day!! Glad everyone is feeling better!
More snow for us today. DH is spending the weekend skiing and snow mobiling so I'm sure he's thrilled. I'm really missing skiing/boarding this year :( Oh well, it's just one season (although it feels worse since I have missed every other ski season being pregnant since 2008-2009 season!). I'm sitting here watching Mickey with my 1.5 year old and he keeps responding to Mickeys questions (yes/no)..it's hilarious since I really don't think he has a clue what's being asked.
LMAO, treadmill. You ladies are SO funny.
My New Years Resolution is to have no resolution. I'm pregnant, when else can you not worry incessantly about what you put in your mouth?
I love Christmas and since we have a pretty large house we keep the decorations up until after New Years Eve. The main mass of decorations are in the formal living room and we spend most of our time in the family room anyways. The rooms are attached...but ya. I love Christmas!
ITA...I try not to worry about eating when I'm pregnant because it's the ONLY time in my whole life I'm lenient on myself. I'm having leftover pizza for lunch and it's soooo good! I usually don't eat pizza very often, but I can't get enough of it lately.
Took the kids sledding today. My little guy wasn't that into it (he hates wearing snow gear still since it sort of overpowers him) but my daughter LOVED it!
Same here Ashley. :)
I took DD out to do some errands this morning. I had to go to the bank and go exchange a birthday gift. She was good for those so we also played at a toy store and at the mall. One of our small local malls has a giant play kitchen, 2 train tables, a colouring table, a book shelf and a few other free play areas set up in the mall. They usually have 3 different 'stations' set up. K loves it there. Sometimes we just go to play and don't even buy anything. Today she coloured a picture then played in the play kitchen. I love it. We have 2 bigger malls but they have nothing like that there. The biggest mall has 1 small play area that's often dirty and disgusting.
Anyways, then we went to my mom's work and had lunch with her. Now we're home and it's almost nap time. Phew! DH has to work today so I'm trying to keep DD out of his hair. We both work from home.
Working from home is tough! I did it part time when DD was tiny. Couldnt imagine doing it now. I occasionally help DH with projects but if it takes more than a couple of hours it takes me several days to find the time. But if I remember right, your DD goes to daycare sometimes so you can work right?
Yes, DD is in daycare full time. They're just closed over Christmas. We were both supposed to work yesterday and today but I told them daycare was closed so they told me not to worry about it. LOL, DH still has to work though. :P
SOO they have set a date! July 6. My due date is June 20. lets hope Im NOT late??? Last thing I want to do is be dressed up at a wedding a week after I have a baby! I remember being blown up like a whale and feeling like poo (not to mention the bleeding) after DS for a FEW weeks . GRRRR
And I totally ate what I wanted.. I ate an ENTIRE bag of movie theatre popcorn the other night when we watched a movie...oops. Ijust want to be in better shape after this baby than I was with DS
Heather: that's great that your work will work with your schedule a bit
Patience: LOL I love popcorn. I think you'll be surprised how much better you feel after this baby since you have your DS to chase the whole time preventing you from resting and being idle as much so your body isn't so used to that after. At least that was the case for me.
