Oh, I totally agree about the online shopping. I shopped at Old Navy online last week when that kids/baby sale started, and my stuff arrived today. You can never find a good selection in stores for clearance.
DD had a great time at school today, she came home with lots of Valentine's goodies. DS didn't come home with as many, but I cheered him up with a Star Wars Angry Birds shirt that came from Old Navy today LOL.
What's for dinner?
I am making tacos. I am totally craving them. I bought ground turkey instead of ground beef though. Then I have some chocolate ganache left over from DS's birthday party last weekend that we can use as fondue for some strawberries for dessert.
Hubby and I were going to get Chinese takeout for Valentine's Day dinner instead of going out (to save money). Then he decided to do a no-carb thing this week. UGH! So I still got Chinese and he ate the spaghetti squash spaghetti we had leftover. :P Mine was yummier!
Heather: we did take out too. I'm not a huge fan of going out on Valentine's - too crowded. We actually had free meal vouchers to one of our favorite Mexican places so that's what we had; delicious AND free, woohoo!
I don't think I told you girls that our pool table came earlier this week. Long story short, the company came way late and DH came home way early and blew the surpriseOh well. I will try to get a pic uploaded at some point today...the tan was a great choice
DD's last swimming lesson for this session is today. I'm kind of glad, but I'd bet next week feels boooooring after the last few crazy ones! Probably try to get her in another session towards the end of March, it was definitely money well spent!
Oh man, I can't believe your surprise was ruined! Too bad.
We had tacos and fondue with strawberries as planned. DS2 is eating strawberries now like they are going out of style! He loved them last summer but I can't afford to buy strawberries in the winter when they are out of season. The price is finally coming down again so I can buy them occasionally. DS2 will eat the whole pack, I bet.
My kids get free swimming lessons every session with our family YMCA pass. My DD is a little fish!
I just ahd a divine donut! lol! On fridays they bring in donuts to work and I thought I grabbed a boston cream one, but it was the brownie batter filled donut! OMG, so good
How are you ladies today?
We are getting ready for our trip. I'm so excited and hope we have good weather. One week on a cruise with 19 family members!
Oh man, I am so jealous of your cruise!!!!!
I am having napping issues with DS2. He only wants 1 nap a day instead of 2 (and he's 14 months, so he really should be down to 1) BUT he wants it too early and then is a disaster in the evening. Right now he is lying in his crib chattering instead of napping, because he slept for about an hour in the car earlier today. Gah. The kids have a babysitter tonight, so he is going to be a MONSTER for the babysitter!
I have eaten, like, 40 Hershey's Kisses today. oops.
Sandra: had this almost exact same problem with my 19 month old. He switched to one nap at 12 months (ugh) and I had a hard time getting him to stay awake until 11 let alone 1 pm like when my DD would nap. It took a few months of having him nap early before he moved later (yeah one napping then the other really cut into my day). He would be crazy grumpy by bed time too. So I guess I don't have advice other than hang in there.
Nap management is such a pain! DD is still napping once. She goes down around 12:30 at daycare but we normally go later, like 2 ish. I'm thinking we should make it earlier at home on the days when we're home though. Just to be consistent. Some of her friends aren't napping anymore and I'm SO not ready for that!
Heather: I have friends with 2 year olds who don't nap and I'm likeMy 3 1/2 year old still takes a 2+ hour nap most of the time (on occasion she won't settle down and lays in her bed for an hour or so before I let her get up, but she is cranky by bedtime!). My DS though will probably not nap into his 3rd year unless I get lucky...he just doesn't seem to require the sleep that she does.
Sandra: you made Hershey kisses sound good the other day and luckily DD got some for Valentine's from someone, but they tasted like garbage when I ate them. FINALLY something that is bad for me that doesn't taste like a little piece of heaven (though I'm sure my taste buds will come around sooner or later!).
I'm pretty annoyed with photobucket for changing up their whole editing format in the middle of my pregnancy! Now my space has different fonts. Oh well...first world problems.
Ya, I need my *me* time while she sleeps. Once I have two here it will be golden.
UGH to photobucket. I'm so glad I don't use them much. It's confusing to me the way they have stuff set up!
Oh man, I could go to sleep right now!
