What's everyone up to today??
I've been dealing with frozen hot water pipes in my kids' bathroom as well as a frozen drain. Apparently when we finished the downstairs bathroom (directly below), the exhaust fan was placed poorly and with the freezing temps we've had have stopped up those pipes. So annoying. I was up until midnight trying to fix them to no avail. DH is out of town so that's why I was messing with it. Our temps are supposed to come back up out of freezing for the first time in a month this week so crossing my fingers we can get them flowing again before anything bursts. :dramaqueen:
DS's hair was looking wild so I cut it this morning and he seriously freaked out and cried the whole time. :dontknow: So weird, he usually doesn't mind the clippers so much. Now the kids are watching Monsters, Inc. and are happy again. Need to go to the mall to get Wallflowers from Bath & Body but really don't feel like loading up the crew. I have a coupon that expires soon though.
UGH! That really sucks about the frozen pipes! I hear some people in older houses have to leave their water on a tiny bit at night to avoid freezing. Eeeeek! I hope it thaws really soon.
I'm having a yucky day. I woke up with a sore throat and then my breakfast made me want to hurl. My tummy has calmed down now though so that's good. I still feel like going back to bed but I need to get some work done. :(
Oh no, sorry you aren't feeling well :( Hope it is a fluke thing and goes away quickly.
The annoying thing is my house is less than 5 years old!! Not sure why they didn't insulate the pipes properly to begin with.
Ashley - that sucks about the pipes! I hope it works. I remember my parents dealing with that when I was a kid
Heather - I hope you feel better.
As for me, I'm at work. Boo! DS said this morning he didn't want to school and wanted to stay home all day with mommy. I told him I would much prefer that too. Instead I am sitting here trying to figure out how to export data from a sql server into Microsoft Access, so it can be useful to me. I could ask someone, but I'm stubborn and want to figure it out myself. ;)
I think DS might be coming down with something. We just got a cold spell the last two days and he was coughing last night and a little groggy this morning. We'll see.
I did just have a YUMMY lunch with an old co-worker at Urban Hibachi (its a Benihana/Kobe style restuarant, but much cheaper and you don't sit around the table.) Steak and noodles with a shrimp tempura roll. Soooooo good. I have leftovers for lunch tommorrow too.
Ashley - ugh! Sorry about the pipes and with dh being out of town too! I hope they thaw quickly!!
Heather - Feel better fast!!
Noelle - In my past life I knew how to dump data from SQL to access, but now I do childcare in my home and I'm afraid it's damaged my data mining lobe!!
AFM - I'm glad it's nap time and wishing my LO would start to wiggle where I can feel it soon!!!
Darn! I needed someone else's brain today. This baby better be smart, because he/she is stealing all mine it feels like ;)

We have days like that and I feel so bad sometimes pushing into going (aka: forcing) but then when I pick her up, she always is glad she went. Good luck figuring out your work stuff. Access is one of the few Microsoft programs that I've never even touched so I'm no help. But I understand wanting to figure it out, I"m like that too.
Lauren: hoping you get some strong kicks soon! Even though I started feeling my little guy at 14 weeks, it was few and far between literally until the last week he has started going nuts in there.
Survived the mall. DS wanted to pull all the candles off the shelf and DD wanted to smell everything so I got in and out of there as fast as possible. Now lunch and then kids' naps. I need to clean so I'm looking forward to it.
LMAO! I'm a software developer. Try coding with baby brain! I can't even remember what I'm doing when I leave the house to run errands.

Maybe in 9 months, I'll be back into the swing of my brain.......oops I forgot, I will be a sleep deprived, pumping machine by then. Ok, maybe I'll get my brain back in about 1 1/2 years?
It's all worth it though!!
I'm thinking about what's for dinner.
Grilled Cheese and soup sounds good to me ;)
DH is at a business dinner, so it's just DS & I, but I should go to the store and get milk and more fruit, but I really don't feel like it. I should make myself. Maybe I'll go to whole foods because I just need produce and organic milk, so I want spend the "whole paycheck" there ;)
