My son is a fish! He literally does not want to be on top of the water, only underneath. We've done a couple sets of swim lessons (starting at 6 months), but the last didn't go so well (he didn't like the instructor). I'm going to sign him up again soon.
HOw are you ladies today? I really, really want a candy bar or cupcake or something like that, but I'm trying to refrain myself. ;)
Reed has a floatie vest, but I don't use it much. Usually we make do with a small inner tube that he can grab when he needs to. I'm always right by him and am trying to teach him confidence on coming up from the water. SInce I can't keep him from going under, might as well try to get him to learn to float better. ;)
Nidia: I read that as "with wings on it" and was thinking...hmm that's interesting. LOL
Heather: my DD is picky too. She eats the same 10 things over and over. Luckily she loves fruit and many veggies so if I put the ones I know she'll eat in front of her, she gets a pretty balanced meal more or less. Her fave is carrots, she'll eat a bag if I give it to her.
Noelle: Be strong!! I caved and got some pizza today when I had to return something next door to Costco and then remembered I needed to get meatballs for our Super Bowl party and figured it would be less busy today than if I wait closer to the weekend...or at least that was my reasoning to get pizza. Oh well.
Got a lot of errands ran while DD was at preschool. DS pretty much passed out at 11:45 as soon as we got home from picking her up which is a good and bad thing since he'll probably get up a full hour before DD does from her nap now. Oh well. Hoping to get something of a workout in during their naps but not sure it is going to happen.
I hear ya Ashley! The picky is annoying but at least it's healthy picky, right? No need to hide veggies on my daughter! Today I tried something new that a friend suggested. I made her PB&J sandwich for school but between the layer of PB & the jam I sprinkled some flax seed! I hope she eats it. SO healthy for her!
I'm feeling gross today. Fighting with a head cold. I'm having tea to try to clear my mind so I can concentrate on work. DD has ballet at 3:30 so we take her out of daycare early today.
LOL! I just finished a bad of peanut M&Ms before reading this. :)

I tried it in oatmeal last time with DS and didn't like it. Maybe I'll revisit the smoothie idea.
Awesome idea about the flax seed in the PB&J.
My kids have been pretty fearful of water. It's bizarre to me because I was all over any pool at 4 years of age. I was on the swim team for several years also. I even taught private swimming lessons for a couple summers. I had 4 and 5 year olds swimming across the pool in just a couple lessons. My kids... will barely put their mouth and nose (and forget the whole head) under for more than a couple seconds. Okay, well it's not that bad anymore, but it was for awhile. I have done very little to push them though. I didn't want to do irreversible damage, lol. Now they will finally submerge in the tub quite happily, but it took us SOOOOOO long to get to this point. THis summer they are learning to swim though!!!! At least the older two!
So I was laying in bed last night watching TV trying to wind down after cleaning until 11 pm (DH had been OOT for work again - my house gets really clean!) and I was softly pressing on the top of my uterus and baby started "fighting" with my fingers. I wonder if image was attracted to the sensation of having resistance to push against (?) but he was going nuts and I could feel his little hard bones :) So cool! I'm guessing I was feeling an elbow, heel or knee but who knows. It was awesome though, I love this part of pregnancy!!
That's great Ashley! I have some pants that are a bit tight around the front lower belly...and it feels like baby kicks at it when it's tight!
Ashley - that is so fun!
I felt the baby a little bit last night, but it mostly feels like rubbing inside my belly instead of kicking and is really low still, but I'll take it. My placenta is in the front again, so I know it will make it more difficult to feel movement.
I had a wierd night. I just couldn't sleep. I watched a lot of TV though on our couch till DS woke me up to watch Little Einsteins before breakfast. He's just so adorable and likes to talk to the baby through my belly button. ;)
