SUPER score on the car seat. Wow, and so new too!!!!! Nice work. I love thrift store shopping! I almost went to a thrift store today too but I had to grab a few groceries and with limited energy, I opted for food. :P

Laurie - that's an amazing deal!

After our anatomy scan I think I am going to peruse Once Upon a child and keep my eye out for other items second hand. I borrowed alot from my girlfriend with DDS (Basinett - which I don't need, swing, etc - the baby, baby stuff), but she gave hers away after her last baby because her hubby got the snip, snip for no more kiddos.

For DS, I bought alot second hand. Where my parents live has a community intranet and a board like craigs list. I got a TON of stuff cheap on there.

AFM - I still feel yucky today. I can't lay down to sleep without my throat killing, wierd? So I slept propped up on the couch. I"m taking the overdose of Emergen-C today to try to boost it out of my system. We'll see if that works.

We have a local thing like that here too and it's easy to navigate/is nicer looking than CL. No one here really uses CL because of it. Sorry you're still sick Seriously being preggo and sick is 10x worse than normal sick!

Laurie: SWEET! What a score! I love finding deals. As far as my DS, thanks for asking..by bedtime he was acting totally normal and he slept fine, he is just still rashy. It isn't like a horrific looking rash, just sort of like a heat rash or something. He just got up so haven't given him a thorough look over today but it seems slightly better. Hopefully it was just some weird fluke thing.

So happy it's Friday! Usually I don't really care, but this week of nonstop activities has been crazy. DH laughed at me and said just wait until all the kids are older and we have 3x activities a day. :P DH is taking DD skiing tomorrow - is it weird that I'm jealous of my 3 year old? lol I know plenty of people do ski pregnant but skiing is fairly new to me after snowboarding most of my life (which I'd NEVER do pregnant...yikes) so I just don't want to risk it. But man does it sound like a good time right now!

I can't blame you Ashley, I wouldn't ski pregnant either. I won't even ice skate and I don't often fall doing that!

I LOVE shopping used. We have a couple different CL like pages here and there's a massive mom's swap & shop on FB that I buy stuff from. I wasn't going to get a bassinet this time but DH mentioned how handy it was for the trailer because we could just take the top of it and move it around. A $160 bassinet came up for $40 on there so we snapped it up! It has a little light on the handle, vibrates and plays music. WAY fancier than my freecycle one with DD.

I also scored a bouncy seat from a local online consignment shop. I took some of DD's clothes to her so although the bouncy seat was listed at $6 I got it for free! I had a pink one with DD but I sold it once she outgrew it.

I also got a free bathtub like this:

Ooooh, I love deals! I love buying used so much that I wish I needed more stuff!!!! HA HA!!

Nice scores Heather! I need to get a new bouncy seat for this baby. The one I have is pink from my DD, my poor DS just had to deal with it (it was a gift otherwise I would've gone gender neutral like I did with everything else) but the motor is burned out so it doesn't vibrate anymore.

I had a lot of pink stuff with DD and I got rid of most of the used stuff....just in case. I had a pink exersaucer with DD but I sold it. I won't get this baby one until he/she is old enough to use it. I was all OCD when I was pg with DD and bought the exersaucer when I was like 5 months pregnant or something ridiculous like that.

I'm actually glad I sold a bunch of stuff because it means I get to buy some 'new to me' stuff. There are so many cute things out there!

I won't need to buy a lot with this baby. I do want a nice full size swing, I had a swing that was portable before, but I am afraid with the kids running around and playing baby will get bumped a lot with it. I am hoping a can buy one cheap from one of my friends that have had babies. DH cousin had a freestanding jumperoo that I borrowed in the past, I think she got rid of it it though. I definitely would love to find a used one of those.

We also need a new crib mattress this time around, but that will be bought new. Thankfully clothes and all the other stuff I had before will work for this one!

Ya, we always buy crib mattresses new too. There's no concrete link to mattresses and SIDS, but better safe than sorry.

I got rid of our old swing, rather than store it. I'm thinking of trying a mamaroo this time. They are $240 new here but I've seen them used for $80 or $100.

I have been on the lookout for a new (to me) playpen with bassinet attachment. I found a perfect one (Graco Travel Lite with Stages) for $60 but it sold. I found a Graco Bedroom Bassinet for $100 (regular $200 in Canada) that looks decent. It is a smaller sized playpen, which is what I'm looking to fit in our bedroom. The bassinet only has one level, but it has some cool storage shelves that will come in handy. I'm hoping to pick it up this weekend.

LOL, I found the Graco Travel Lite on Amazon.com for $80, but international shipping for it was $70! Pfft. It's selling on Amazon.ca for $160. Bunch of bull.
