I guess we've got a handful of mama's busy with new babies!
I spent the morning outside mowing more of the lawn. I also mowed and pulled weeds last night. We live on a corner lot so we have TONS of lawn. And DH is never home to do it himself. I look pretty ridiculous out there I bet! At least I am getting lots of exercise in!
It's so ridiculous having to help DS2 with everything, since he is 1 arm down right now. He was getting to the point where he was physically self-sufficient - climbing stairs, getting on and off furniture, eating, playing....now I have to help him up and down stairs, hold his cup for him if it's too heavy......LOL. Just what I need this week, to pay MORE attention to him ;) His follow up appt to check his healing isn't until June 18th - 2 whole more weeks of his cast! Ugh.
Supposed to rain this afternoon which is why I wanted to get the lawn done......not quite there yet though.
Baby had a poop explosion this morning! All over me, the floor, and the changing table. The kids thought it was so funny! Right as I lifted his legs up to wipe his hiney, it shot straight out...
When DD was almost two, our neighbor's dog knocked her down and she fractured her collarbone. She had to wear a sling for 6 weeks, and it was not the most fun experience in the world! She did pretty well, and adjusted pretty quickly, but there are just some things they can't do with one hand.
Sandra - The imagery of you mowing the lawn right now has me giggling. I wish I could have seen it. UGH about the corner lot, especially with how much snow you get. Is there a sidewalk you have to maintain?
Leah - UGH, I don't miss that newborn runny poop. That must have been quite the mess. Were the kids actually laughing? Oh my!
I did some errands this morning after I took DD to daycare. I picked up two of my favorite cloth diapers that someone was selling used. Then I had 30 mins to kill so I went to a thirft store. After that I took my broken hard drive to my ex place of employment to see if it could be accessed! Hoooooray! They could read it! I'm so glad as I would have lost 1.5 years of photos and videos. The stupid hard drive is only 1.5 years old! TOO early to fail. Hubby just called Tiger Direct (where we bought it) and it turns out that it's still under warranty. PHEW! Now we just have to get all my data off it and mail the broken thing away.
I got an awesome text this morning! One of my high school friends works out of town in the Alberta oil patch and so she works 3 weeks and then is off 1. She doesn't always come here for her week off and I was sure she'd miss this whole baby thing. She just texted me that she will be here Friday morning until noon on the 12th. She wants me to speak to baby about getting out FAST. LOL. I hope baby comes before she leaves! My due date is the 11th, so it's possible. I'm just so glad she might be here!
I don't want to jinx myself but my menstrual-like cramps haven't stopped all day, even in the pool. I am guessing this weekend just might be it. I'm at a point of very uncomfortable but not painful enough to slow down life just yet.
Right now it's like a constant cramp that sometimes hurts a little more. Not really timetable contractions. Not sure what to think. Very annoying. And I am sooooo hungry I could chew off my own arm.
Well, make sure you eat! You'll need your energy if it IS labour.
Have you drank lots of water? Maybe lay down and see how it feels.
The kids thought it was great! They have told anyone that has called on the phone or came to the door today about the exploding poop! I don't ever remember having poop shoot out at me before.
