Constantly Exhausted

I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm constantly exhausted. I can't get anything accomplished. It's like I hit a wall and can't go on. I just lay on the couch and stare blankly at the room.

Thoughts? Sometimes I think it's because I'm low on calories but I don't FEEL hungry. It's really emotionally frustrating. I wonder if it's the 'low iron' thing? Hubby's going to pick some iron supplements up for me.

Since about 36 weeks, I've had hit and miss exhaustion. When it hits me, it comes hard and fast and I want to pass out literally wherever I'm standing. The last 3 days though, I've gotten a weird energy spurt. Hopefully that will hit you too!! I think our bodies are trying so hard to put those last few pounds on baby that they don't have time to save any energy for us.

I just took a nap to recover from sitting for two hours. It's ridiculous. So tired!

So it's not just me then? This morning I made pancakes and then DD and I made a cake mix. Then I went to 3 garage sales near my house (I drove and was alone). That was enough to totally wipe me out for the day. It's almost 5 pm and I'm trying to find the energy to go to Hubby's birthday dinner at a Chinese smorg.

I just took my first liquid iron.

My ability to accomplish next-to-nothing is causing me mental issues.

I took a two hour nap today...

I was up early with DD, played with her until my dad came to play with her for an hour so I could go back to sleep (hubby is sick, so he couldn't let me sleep in like he usually does), played quietly with DD in the house until my dad took her to the park for 45 minutes so I could rest more. Then I put her down for a nap, rested/napped that whole time. Then took her to the park, dinner, a long bath and bed time for her. And now I've been watching tv and am going to sleep. Not exactly running any marathons over here - your day sounded PLENTY busy and way more than I could handle now Heather!

That all being said, I also haven't been sleeping well at night, DD's been up super early, DH came down with strep yesterday, my back starts to hurt after 10 minutes in the kitchen, and my knee is so sore that I'm limping constantly. So I'm letting myself take whatever breaks I possibly can!

Iron has made a big difference for me, but I still get exhausted easily!

It's not just you...I'm unable to accomplish anything either. I want to get things done, I'm just so tired I can't manage to get moving. It won't be long before these babies are out. At least that's what I tell myself...and even though there will be sleep deprivation I have hope I'll have at least some times where I'll be able to accomplish something.

I just had the realization last week that my body will be more back to normal soon. Of course, there's all the breastfeeding/leaky boob stuff to deal with, but at least I won't have this parasite anymore. LOL.

It's nice to hear I'm not alone. It always sounds like everyone else is accomplishing so much more than me!

YOu know, it really could be the iron. I hope the supplement is able to help you out a little. I actually haven't been having too much of an issue, BUT I've been eating lots of meat...

I'm sure I need iron but I've had so much trouble with constipation that I'm terrified to try. I'm barely staying semi-regular right now and that's with taking Colace to prevent things getting too awful.

Feeling drained from sitting through a one hour church service. This is so pathetic. I am so ready to get my body back!

I sewed a taggy blanket for the baby this morning. I had already made a boy one, so I made a girl one. That was lots of sitting so that's good. I need to go out and buy a stuffy for new baby so i'm just eating some food before we get ready. I'm going to try eating more and see if that helps too. Screw the weight gain. LOL

Yeah, I'm not all concerned about weight gain...I'll work on that after baby arrives. Smile

I actually accomplished something today! DD has a taggy blanket I had made her when she was 6 months or so. A few months ago I made a blue one for if baby is a boy...but I hadn't made a girl one yet. I got that done! Then we went to the store where we bought DD's first stuffy from, and bought baby one. DD's is a lamb and new baby's is an elephant. So cute! I wanted those 2 things done before baby comes...so yay!

Heather, I saw the pic of the stuffy on FB, super cute!

I have been torn between feeling exhausted and just itching to do anything. The crazy insomnia that I have is messing me up, then add in the preggo dreams, it's like I haven't seen a restful sleep in ages.

Even when I lay here like an exhausted zombie I still feel guilty for ignoring DD and accomplishing nothing. I was going to start my hospital bag this weekend but didn't. Sad Hubby got my suitcase down from the attic though. That's something.

This week I need to install the carseats, pack a hospital bag, and probably set up the bassinet. Although if the bassinet doesn't get done, no big deal - it's a pack n' play, so it takes 90 seconds to do! But it would be nice to get my new bassinet sheets on it and everything. I can't believe it's almost baby time.

Hopefully I have the energy for that!
