Craptastic.
I had a cleaning and checkup at the dentist last week. It was my first time at the dentist since moving to this city - had to finally get around to finding a dentist because I had a filling fall out!
So yesterday I had my filling refilled. I had to go in today to have a cavity filled that they found at my checkup. Unfortunately they could only do a temporary filling because I need a freaking root canal. AAARRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!! I hate dental work. I have really terrible teeth. I've already had a root canal and 2 crowns.
So I have to go back in 2 weeks for my root canal. I guess the 2nd trimester is the best time to have dental work done if it's necessary. I'll have to have xrays done, but they'll use 2 lead aprons to cover me up.
What a yucky day.

Im sorry. I had a root canal when i was 32 weeks pregnant with DD. then another when she was 4 months old. the one HAD to be done then and the doc said it was perfectly safe. I hope you will not have too much pain with it!

UGH! So sorry that really sucks.

That's SO gross! I'm sorry to hear this! They thought I was going to need a root canal when I was pg with DD...but it turned out that antibiotics cleared the issue up! Anyways, I have heard the second tri is the best time for dental work. I'm going to the dentist on Friday...I hope they find nothing. UGH. :(

I'm due to go the dentist too...
Yep, a friend of mine had a root canal during one of her pregnancies with no issue. I had one done a few years back. I have to say, I thought the root canal was better than getting a filling!! Maybe they numb you up better?

Ugh that sucks. I actually had to get a wisdom tooth extracted on Monday. They told me with being pregnant it was safe but I would likely have more pain and swelling. It was horrible and I wouldn't wish the experience on anyone. I looked like I had a tennis ball in my cheek and am still in some pain. BLECH! I hope your root canal goes well and you dont' have any pain!

I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted when I was 16. It was BRUTAL. They were impacted so I had to have surgery in the hospital. I feel for you Whitney. It's NO fun. Bletch! :(

I had a filling this summer and they said that it was just barely doable without a root canal and if it starts hurting, I need the root canal. Well, it hurts A LOT. Bleh. I've never had a root canal before.
