Cravings and Aversions

What is everyone craving and hating right now?

With my m/s I'm mostly having aversions to almost anything depending on the day, but turkey sandwiches and spicy chicken sandwiches from Carls Jr (Hardee's) always sound good. Oh and Slurpees too Smile

Ummmmm...sandwiches!

I haven't really had any strong aversions yet. I have just felt blah about certain foods but not a strong aversion. Some things I've been really into lately are:
- soup (particularly cream of mushroom)
- pickles
- home made sandwiches (I've been steaming a LOT of lunch meat)
- cereal (as a quick bed time snack)

I normally like all those things but other than pickles I don't normally eat them as much as I have been. I bought a case of cream of mushroom soup today and a package of pre-cut mushrooms so I can add them to the soup. Ooooohhhhh, yum!

It's so funny to me - it is exactly the same as last pregnancy. I crave slurpees (or just pop) and French fries or anything salty, and I am totally turned off by vegetables.

About the only things I can eat are potatoes, Hawaiian roles, and lemons.

DH likes to get Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers from Wendy's, with just mayo. I took a bite of one the other day, and now that is all I want! I normally don't like cheeseburgers and never eat mayo on burgers! If I could have one everyday I would! Aversions have come and gone, whatever it happens to be at that particular time is what it is. I have noticed today though that my sense of smell has really become sensitive. I went to the grocery store today, and I could smell everybody that walked by...

Aversions right now are pretty much everything. Nothing sounds good but in particular meat! Ugg just the thought makes me nauseous! I haven't been throwing up but just a lot of mild nausea. The only thing that's sounds half way decent right now are carbs.

I haven't been really hungry, not feeling sick, just not interested. But when it does hit, it is usually something salty, Burger King onion rings and horseradish sauce, jalapeno cream cheese taquitos from 7/11, this fresh chips and spicy bbq sauce (usually I am not a BBQ fan, sisters family owned one for a long time and got burnt out on it) from a particular place. I kinda want Oh's cereal without milk (that's how I usually eat it though, so nothing new)

The only real aversion is beef. Chicken has been sounding pretty good. Things like sandwiches, potatoes, chips and hardboiled eggs have been sounding good.

Double cheeseburgers from McD's. But wait......that's all the time Smile My favourite guilty pleasure.

I have no aversions but I have had to eat really small portions or I start to feel nauseous. Which is really weird for me because I NEVER get any m/s or nausea with my pregnancies, but I totally am nauseous this time.

I just remembered this one. I have this root beer float chewing gum in my car. Found it while I was looking for something else in my center consul and practically started dry heaving. UGH!

Also, soda isn't nearly as good as normal. I'm a big Coke drinker and have really limit myself to a few a week or I'd drink 3 a day without thinking about it. These days, I'm maybe having one a week just because I'm tired of water but it just doesn't taste nearly as good as normal. Not necessarily a bad thing though...

That's funny. I don't ever drink Coke but that is what I am craving this week!

I'm getting tired of water too. I've been also having lemonade and sometimes some raspberry ginger ale. Trying not to drink too many calories but they just taste SO good.

One drink I've found just DELICIOUS is cherry limades. Mmm. Luckily I do not have the ingredients at home (by choice) or that would be all I'd drink! Too bad Happy Hour at Sonic makes it so cheap, haha

I have a recipe for those and I love them! I only make them on special occasions! I could drink the whole batch myself!

If it were healthy, I could drink my daily calorie intake and be so happy!

The worst for me is that I have a strong craving for something, so I buy it and eat it for a day or two, and then... the mere sight of it a day or two later makes my stomach churn and I can't stand it!!

Anyway, I pretty much always can eat a cheeseburger. The other night I had a massive craving for carrots with ranch dressing.

Patience, I'm LOL at you eating that spaghetti!!! Smile

I am reading all this and either going YUCK or MMMMMMM! to all these foods. Most of the time something sounds good so I get it and then change my mind on what I want.

Water is a total aversion right now! I make my own lemonade, raspberry lemonade and juice/water combo. Not worried about drinking calories, especially since I use stevia to sweeten, so there really aren't any. As for cravings - it's more what I can stomach - which is mostly french toast with lots of maple syrup. And cucumbers. And watermelon. I was thinking about chinese food a lot too, but I can't eat it since it would make me feel so sick. Pretty much every other veggie sounds gross even though I'm normally a huge veggie eater.

sour candy and soft pretzals have been my cravings lately. I found a container of cherry coke gummies in the cabinet DS got a while ago. they won't be there much longer! DH was also nice enough to get me a pretzal (2 actually!) from WaWa on his way home. sweet cream cheese fileld and a reg one.. both are gone......

That sounds really yummy.

Laurie: I'm the same way where most cravings turn into aversions after I eat it. Oh well.

Yesterday started a feeling of yuckiness. Everything sounds nasty, but I wouldn't define this as nauseau.

Salt and sweet is the only things that sound even ok.
