Default Crazy pumping lady here ;)

Milk us in and she is nursing well ( with the exception of still using a breast shield) but I'm double pumping to store and keep supply large.

In 2 days I've stored 28 oz and getting more each session. Yay!
I did this last time Nd even though my body was done 10 months in I had over a month stored so we made it almost a year. Goal is 12 months again this time

Great job mama! Mine have both nursed past a year but I don't respond well to the pump.

I had to pump for DS1 when he was in the NICU and got a decent freezer supply built up but was never able to pump enough at work to feed him while I was away. With DS2 I didn't have any stockpile and did a bit better with pumping but still really was only able to not supplement much b/c I was working shorter hours. But when I was with them they BF'd exclusively.

I going to try harder this time to pump and stockpile some before I have to go back to work. I think it's awesome your getting some now too.

I'm so jealous. I'm no good at pumping. I get nothing out. I would love to give bottles of breast milk once a day but instead when we go to once a day bottles, I have to use formula.

When I go back to work the morning and night nursing sessions just aren't enough to keep my supply up, so I found if I do this, at least my my body slowly decreases from outputting for almost twins and falls slower. Well at least that's the hope

Nice work! I never was a huge pumper last time. I just never knew WHEN to do it...DD would dry me out...and then who knew when she'd feed next! Near the end I pumped some for DH to give her a sippy cup of it but she never really cared for that. I might give this one a bottle...we'll see. Maybe not. Seems like I'm adding more 'issues' with a bottle, but I know DD would love to feed baby.

Heather, if you want to pump I found that the absolute best time was in the morning. That is when you will have the most milk. With my second I use to pump on one side and feed on the other. I would get 4-5 ounces every morning doing that. Plus, I had my dd latched on to aid in the let down of milk on the other side. I could get those few ounces in just a few minutes time.
