    Default Dizziness

Hello ladies, is any of you suffering from dizziness...I've been feeling faint and just dizzy and was wondering if anyone else been going through this. And if so what can I do to help, wondering if I should call the nurse. This is a new symptom for me, didnt experience this with my first pregnancy.

Dizziness is a common occurrence in pregnancy, especially first trimester. Don't worry!
Rising hormones cause your blood vessels to widen and relax. It helps increase blood flow to baby, BUT that means it decreases blood flow to you!

I've had some dizzy spells. Just sit down, or lie down on your left side, and drink some water.

How is your food intake? Low blood sugar can be a cause of dizziness.

This is a daily struggle for me as well! Doctors just tell you to eat and drink water, they don't usually do anything about it since it is common, but it's hard to function during the day, I get so dizzy and my blood sugar gets so low that I usually can't go anywhere the rest of the day. Only thing that solves this is delivery! haha

Thanks sandraleigh, it freaked me out a little. Was standing putting away some cases at work and had to sit down. Still feel dizzy, I just want to lay down somewhere. Heatherbella....I eat pretty much all day and try to be as healthy as I can. I had breakfast and been sipping on giner ale because this nausea is kicking my butt. Trying to wait on the lunch party we are having for a coworker leaving. I really hope this dizziness goes away soon, just not feeling well right now.

I would only get dizzy whenever I would stand up too fast. That is going away now. A lot of first trimester symptoms are starting to go away for me now!

I usually get dizzy at my choir rehearsals because we are standing for nearly 3 hours. Obviously they will let me sit down when pregnant, but no one knows I'm pregnant yet.

For most people the dizziness only stays for the 1st trimester. Here's hoping for that!

    I won't announce until someone asks me.....LOL.

We don't even have an EDD yet, so I definitely want to wait until I finally get an U/S before I tell someone. Then when we tell people, we are going to ask them to not mention it on Facebook, because we want to surprise our families this Christmas.

I am already showing a bit, and one girl I am close with at choir has been glancing at my belly. Obviously soon it will be unmistakeable, I show very early, but we usually wait until 2nd trimester. We'll see how long before people start asking!

Yep, I get dizziness occationally in the first trimester, and sometimes even later on. Definitely make sure you stay up on your food and water, and try not to stand up too quickly when you get up.
