    Default A Dreaded Phone Call

Was out and about with DH this afternoon, and when I saw my caller ID I knew what it was about. DR's office calling to tell my I had failed my GD test . They want me to take the 3 hour test, I will have to call in the morning to see about the three day diet that I have to follow before the test. My iron was fine, which never has been before, so that was a plus! I just hope that I pass the three hour test.

Good note on the iron though!

Boo! I hope your 3 hour goes OK.

I failed my 1 hour with #3 (never failed before) but I passed the 3 hour.

I'm glad the iron was good, and hope your 3 hr test goes well. I didn't know there was a three day diet involved... What's that about?

I swear they have changed the limits on the one hour, because it seems like everyone is failing nowadays. And people who have previously always passed too. Well that sucks - but yay for good iron!

I basically eat as I normally would but add more carbs. The nurse gave me two lists, one of grain choices and one of fruit choices. I have to choose one from each list to add to what I would normally eat each of the three days. I guess they want to overload your system beforehand to make it the worst case scenario.
