I got the Maddox one and it's really nice.
Personally, I wouldn't use any of the extra items in the Whole Caboodle. Using anything in your car seat that isn't crash tested is considered a big no-no. I know lots of people do it and are fine with it but I just can't. It's super cute though!
I see it as any other cover people use really.. and I see them a lot but IDK. I'm on the fence. I mean we are having babies in the spring/summer so is all that other necessary.. other than the cover to block out sun/wind? Lol
Yes, I agree...I see lots of people using special covers on their car seat...I'm just saying that personally I wouldn't. If it was just for carrying, fine, but not for in the car. Anyways, ya, I'm just weird about car seat safety. :)
I know, I doubt they would cause a problem but they haven't been crash tested, so who knows? I'd be more ok with the full over cover that's made of minky because it's probably pretty thin and won't cause a compression issue (like puffy winter coats do)...but I'd be a little more hesitant about after market strap covers.
We have cushy seat belt covers for US and when we had K's car seat installation inspected the tech even suggested we take those out for us! I know people think I'm overly spazzy but if it saves a life, it's worth it I guess.
Since you're a car seat freak like me I'll share my excitement. I pre-ordered a Diono Radian RXT for DD! I'm so excited for it to get here. She got too tall for her truck seat to be RF so we ordered her this new seat. It goes RF to 45 lbs, FF in a harness until 65 lbs and a booster until 120 lbs. Plus it has a 10 year life! I can't wait for it! DD is almost 3 and 27 lbs so it should last us a while! I got this new print. So excited!!!
Just a curious question, how do kids that big sit RF? Where do their legs go? I have always wondered that :) I am always thrilled when I can turn my kids around!
Heather, we have a Radian! :-) Not the newest model though...
Leah, you know when someone sits indian style on the floor. That's kind of what they do when they sit rear facing. My kids have never even given it a second thought. They climb right it, and if it's nap time they are comfortably asleep until the car stops! :-)
I figured you had a Radain. Most car seat nuts do!
Here are a couple pics of K RF in her Marathon. She normally just sits with her knees bent, but sometimes she straightens them out and rests them on the seat back. SO glad we have leather seats! RF is great for naps too because their seats aren't as upright so their heads don't bob forward.
The first pic is from our trip to California. The sun was blasting on her so I used her stroller sun shade to keep her cool.
It's hard to see in the next pic but her shoes are resting on the seat back.
So cute Heather! Yep, mine typically look like K does in the second pic. :-)
