Good Appt

HB was 145-150 and strong. Everything else looked good and on track and I got my clearance to go on the cruise in 4 weeks Yahoo

Just scheduled my glucose tolerance test and 2nd blood work for the quad screening for Monday @8am. FIngers crossed the glucose goes well! I'm craving sweets with this baby!

Wow you are doing your GD test way earlier than me! I haven't even scheduled that yet, probably will around week 24. Glad baby was looking good! Where are you cruising to? I went on a cruise in November Smile

Sounds like a great appointment. Wow, that is early for the glucose. When I've done it, it's always been around 28 weeks. Do they have a reason to think you may have GD, and that's why they are having you do it earlier?

I'm wondering if they are testing me early because prior to pregnancy I was already teetering on insulin resistant and was on Metformin from my endocrionologist to help with getting pregnant. He thought it was probably because of my history with PCOS.

yay for a good appointment and the cruise! It'll be nice to get the GD test out of the way.

Sounds like an awesome appt! So glad you got the clearance to go one your cruise. I'm very jealous! I love cruising!

We're going to the US in March...I wonder if I'll need a midwife "ok" to go...hummm...I never traveled when I was visibly pregnant before!

Just call the airline, but I think airlines allow you to travel into your 8th month. Cruises are stricter for some reason. You can not be 24 weeks or turn 24 weeks during your cruise. (at least that is Royal Carribbean's rule)
Funny thing this was part of our 'planning'. Its a huge family cruise (21 of us) and I didn't want to not be able to go, so we waited a month to start trying because of it. I NEVER thought we would get pregnant the first month of trying, but I am so glad we waited that month now. Wink

Glad you got all your clearance to go on your cruise! My OB doesn't do GD until 28 weeks but it make sense why he would do yours early. Hope you pass with flying colors!

It's kind of a followup apptointment for my SCH bleed/ANatomy scan @ 18 weeks (Feb 6th) They think they should be able to determine the gender then. If not, we'll wait till the next high risk appt.
