The dentist is probably the worst place in the world for me. I detest it.

They have trouble freezing me, the anesthesia doesn't work like it should. Part of it is the fact that I'm red-headed, red heads require up to 30% more anesthesia to get the same effect. At my old dentist I had to use nitrous oxide gas during my fillings. They don't have it at this office, however. Plus I probably wouldn't use it when pregnant.

awww im sorry. I wish i had know that before my DH had his wisdom teeth pulled, he had never had anestesia and woke up before they were done, he and my DD are redheads.... more like orange lol

Sandra, I'm sorry... that does majorly suck if you can still feel it!! I had no idea about the red head thing. It's crazy how genetics work sometimes. And they absolutely have to do the root canal now - they can't wait until after the pregnancy???
