Happy dance

I just put my first bag of excess breast milk in the freezer! Em hasn't had a bottle in 24 hrs (that was only bc we were out and about) she fed on one side and burped and fell asleep! I'm over producing already :). Just wanted to share in my celebration.

Nice work mama! Super producer! I didn't really stock-pile that much last time as we didn't use bottles, but I might use bottles this time...so I'll have to pump more.

Much better, tho sometimes she is just a goof and is off and on repeatedly before really getting to business. Love the noises and looks while she doesn't tho, so I don't mind

Yay! I know how it feels, I put my first bag in the freezer yesterday, and he has had two bottles. I hate pumping! I only do it so DH can give him some bottles and feel like he is involved in the feeding process. And I do like to have some in the freezer.

Have your kids wanted to feed him? I had originally thought I'd pump more this time so I could have a 'break', but when DD found the bottles I had from her (brand new as we never bottle fed) she was all excited to get me bottles for when baby needed one. She doesn't know about BF yet. LOL.

They have asked. I have a bottle pumped in the fridge, so I may let them give it to him later. We talked before the baby came about how he would get his milk, but I still wasn't quite sure how they would react to seeing him nurse. They really took it well and didn't ask too many questions about it. I guess to them it just part of having a new baby.

Ya, I figured we'd talk about it when it comes up. I've told her babies drink 'mommy milk' and that she drinks 'cow milk', so we'll see. Biggrin

Woot for storage!

I am pretty sure DS still remembers breastfeeding (because we didn't stop until he was almost four) and he hasn't really seemed interested in helping feeding (though we have told him his job is to change the diapers, lol.) Got my breast pump delivered yesterday, an Ameda Purely Yours. I called it a "boob sucker" then DH got mad at me when DS called it a boob sucker. DS was pretty interested in figuring out how it works, he loves anything mechanical, and was all "It's like the machines they use on COWS!!!"

Do u like the ameda? That's the other one my insurance offered me this time and I chose the Medea swing bc I have all Medea parts.... It's a single and I kinda like it in spite of that....

It was just what they sent out from the insurance, it looks nice, I stuck it on the boob and it seems to have pretty good suction, I didn't leave it on but for a few seconds to make sure it worked. I had a cheapo hand me down one last time and used it all of twice, I am not even sure this thing will get much use, I only got it because if I am spending 600 a month on insurance I might as well get everything I can out of it.
