Happy Due Date!

Sort of. LOL.

Incase you aren't on my Facebook, I got to spend a good chunk of my day in Emergency.....for DS2, who fell off a chair last night and hurt his elbow. DH and I got no sleep last night since he was crying and in our bed from 11 pm on. Thankfully he slept not too bad from about 4 am to 8 am.

Anyways, poor kid wasn't moving his left arm at all and would cry when we tried to move it or touch it. After 2 trips to the ER today and some unsuccessful adjustments to correct nursemaids elbow, we are home again with a half-cast on his arm. Poor little dude looks utterly ridiculous, but is much happier now that his elbow feels more secure.

40 weeks pregnant! Not the best time to have an 18 month old with a cast, so he now requires more help and assistance. I guess I should be thankful I don't have a newborn as well.

I was gonna say due dates are so anticlimactic usually - but you still got your trip to the hospital at least

I'm glad he's feeling better. Go try to get some sleep!

It was a ridiculous day for this to happen. We have NO groceries in the house, and DH had a ton of work to do. I'll have to run out and get groceries when the kids go to bed. The only thing we had to eat was bread and eggs, so egg-in-a-hole it was for supper!

So sorry you had to deal with all that... But that is the cutest little cast ever.

Oh man! That totally sucks! At least hubby was home for the day but GAH! So poopy!

My SIL broke her ankle a week before my nephew turned 1. He was just learning to walk and she could do NOTHING. So my mom and I pretty much put together his first birthday party. The worse part was that she did it to herself by signing up for motor cycle lessons when she had a baby!

I had to laugh about the food in your house. I'm such a hoarder that I always have a pantry FULL of food. Even when I say there's nothing to eat, there's lots. Blum 3

LOL, Heather, I swear that was our only supper option! We did have some cans of soup, but no one really likes soup except for me. And it was a warm day, so soup is yucky. Literally, we had no meat, no fruit.....we didn't even have any peanut butter.

I just got back from grocery shopping and spent a ton. Like....almost 1/3 of my budget for the whole month of June.....oops. I hope some of it lasts a while. Now I am pooped! Grocery shopping for a family of 6 on your due date.....yep, probably an awesome idea to GO TO BED NOW!

Good job on the groceries. I have long been a pantry hoarder but since getting a deep freeze it has expanded. Hubby was saying tonight that we have thousands and thousands of calories in our pantry. I guess we're ready for 'the big one' (earthquake). LOL

Ooh poor kid Sad Glad to hear he is much happier now that it is secured. My grocery trip last week was bigger than normal too so I'd have plenty of food once baby gets here but at the rate he's coming, I'll probably need to go one more time for perishables.

Heather: I'm jealous of your deep freeze. We used to have an extra fridge in our garage but it was so old and we decided to let the power company give us the $25 to take it away because it used so much electricity. But I'm hoping we'll get a separate freezer in the future as my current fridge has a smaller freezer so that means no long term storage of much.

I miss a bigger freezer too Sad

Emerson had a good night. He slept from 8 pm to 5:45 am, then he tried to roll over and his arm got stuck Sad LOL, poor kid. Then he went back to sleep for 90 minutes more.

He's pretty angry about not being able to climb stuff today. Poor dude is so used to being constantly active!

Ya, we just got our deep freeze recently. It's the upright kind. I thought that style would be less conducive to me losing stuff in the bottom. LOL

My friend's son was a crazy active toddler. He hurt himself SO many times so close together that had they had one more emergency visit then Child Protective Services would have been called. Sad One time he jumped OFF the high boy dresser in his room. Eeeps. DD is a bit of a gymnast but she's cautious too, thank goodness. She likes to sit on the BACK of the couch and has fallen off there twice though. Ugh.

I hope his arm feels better soon.

I can relate to the absolutely nothing in the house for food, last week was bad we were down to sandwiches for a couple days, because I tossed everything from the fridge before the move.
