    Default hospital bag?

    I haven't been around much and might have missed an earlier post. BUT I was wondering what you ladies are putting in a hospital bag? I can't remember what I packed for DS but I also know that I had stuff I never even used/needed/forgot was in there.... trying to get mine packed.

    Shampoo, conditioner, and face wash (all in little travel bottles) for myself. Hair brush, tooth brush and paste. Extra pads. Two changes of clothes for myself (depending on what the whether will be like). Make sure the clothes are something that fit you toward the end of your pregnancy. Then for baby... 2-3 outfits or "combinations" depending on the weather and size of baby. One baby blanket. One baby hat. Some newborn diapers and wipes. I "think" that's it for me... Oh, and I will grab some food on my way out of the house. At the birth center I go to we are responsible for all of our food, but we're not really there long either, so just a couple snacks should do.

    Its crazy early for me, but I've already started mine. (I didn't have one last time and it was a lot of telling people what to grab and bring). I'm not bringing underwear because I actually liked the mesh ones from the hospital, lol!

    Razor, toothbrush & toothpaste (for DH too)
    NIghtgown
    Yoga pants
    maternity tank top
    maternity t-shirt
    deodrant
    flip flops
    makeup bag
    sleep bra
    nursing bra
    brush

    Hubby;
    underwear
    t-****
    pj bottoms (I told him he didn't have to sleep with us, my parents live down the street)

    Baby;
    nb outfit
    0-3 outfit (not sure on her size)
    couple whit onesies
    pacifier
    mittens
    beanie hat
    baby blanket

    Nipple guard
    breast pads

    DS;
    Present for him
    Nook or video player

    Other;
    Chargers
    camera
    video camera
    snacks
    juice boxes

    I only plan to stay 24 hours unless there are complications (and I don't expect there to be this time! With Tori I had to stay seven days. And it was a vaginal birth! Ick!). Hospital provides basically everything. Last time that even included full size bath and body works products. They have 24 hour room service and also a family snack room that is stocked full of all kinds of good stuff.

    I use a special line of hair products so I'll bring those, a change of clothes, some comfortable pajamas to hang out in instead of the gown, and then my electronics/chargers. Going home outfit for baby. That's about it. Oh and a bottle of Colace. I always get so constipated after birth and want to try to skip that this time!

    Oh yeah, a nursing bra would be good... I know I won't need breast pads for a couple days though. Deodorant, yes, I should bring that too. I actually prefer to wear the mesh underwear provided instead of my own. No need to worry about any stains then.

    I never usually need breast pads either for the first few days. I throw in a couple pairs though.

    I love that mesh underwear! I'm always sad when I use the last pair and have to switch to my own.

    Deodorant and toothbrush. There's two things the hospital doesn't provide. Glad I'm reading this or I would end up being one stinky patient! I forgot them on my first list, ha!

    I saw a thing on Pinterest on how to make your own ice pack pads like they give you. I want to make some for home.

    Clothes to come home in
    Nursing pajamas
    Tolietries
    Nursing bra
    A couple of baby outfits
    Baby book
    Camera
    Phone charger

    I keep it simple, most of what I need they will have at the hospital. I don't want to bring a bunch of stuff I don't really need and will just have to pack and unpack.
