We tell him that he has had it before and loved it. Or I just don't tell him what is in it...

Oddly enough, these same tactics work with DHs picky eating habits.

I wish, it seems he gets pickier and pickier, but we don't cater to it.

Basically he eats ALOT on the meals he likes and picks and pushes around the others. He's healthy and gets all his vitamins in at least

My daughter likes spinach quiche. I usually don't bother making complicated dinners, because half the time she's happy with avocado and sauerkraut, or sweet potato. I just make all her options to include vegetables. She also doesn't eat grains and dairy so those are not options at all. When they start eating a lot of grains and dairy and sugar, they start being more picky on other things.

Sandra - any news on the house?

My back has not been getting better as I'd like it to be, so since my brother's wedding I've been taking a hiatus from the gym and just working out at home. I really can't bear much weight in any front or over head position, so it just doesn't seem worth going to the gym. And then there's the joints etc while trying to run. Frustrating!

Matan has been waking up a lot more at night the past week, and it's been really tiring. He just wants to sleep in our arms a lot, and has been quite restless. He slept a 3+ hour nap down today, so hopefully it's just a phase - but I would love 6 hour stretches from him again.

My son is just funny, he is not big on grains or dairy either. He eats whole wheat bread, but has recently decided he doesn't like crust now. He likes pasta, but only with tomato sauce (one of the meals I can get veggies in him hidden in the sauce) He likes mashed potatoes, no rice or any other starch.

He doesn't like alot of "kid foods" - mac n cheese, chicken nuggets, etc

He will eat chicken, but only the white parts. Forbid it has grill marks on it.

Loves beef soft tacos! LOVES fruit, all fruit. will eat salads with ranch or blue cheese

PB&J or Ham sandwiches are a staple in our house

and he likes pretty much all breakfast foods

Funny thing is I fed him everything as a baby and toddler. He had kale, spinach, sweet potatoes, beans, beets, etc. Loved it all. Who knows, sometimes they just become their own little likes and dislikes I guess.

I think he's just at the age when their taste buds start to change. DS used to LOVE all things spicy, would eat the hot cheetos and hot salsa like it was nothing, now we cant get him to touch anything with too much heat...

DD is the same way. Even when he was really small, she loved spicy stuff. But no more!
